Got This for my media library at very good price. So far so good. I didn't use the included software, So no comment on that.

Great price for 5tb, not oversized and doesn't weigh a ton.

I got this 5 TB HDD around 100 bucks. I understand its not handy like 2TB HDDs which can be plugged and played through USB. Though it needs external power, the speed is pretty good. The main factor of getting it is the storage. Now I can keep all my personal documents and photos, videos for years without bring worried. Awesome product.

Western Digital has always been rated as one of the best, if not the best, external hard drives. 5TB at Best Buy's sale price couldn't be beat. I needed large backup space for the videos I shoot for my website (thedrummersalmanac.com). Nice to know that all my stuff is backed up and secure.

I picked this up as a Deal of the Day, and I couldn't be happier. The USB speeds are outstanding and the 5 TB of storage will last me for years. The only caveat is that this drive has hardware based encryption for security, so it can't be moved to another case without losing all the data.

Needed to purchase a new external for my Xbox One. I was using a 2TB passport by western digital. I figured I need to upgrade soon since a lot games will be coming out in 2016. Now I have enough space for more games! A must buy if you are looking to upgrade your storage for the console!

I've switched over the last couple years from Seagate to all WD drives due to a large number of Seagate failures. My WD drives have had very few failures over the years. This 5TB drive is fast enough and good per TB cost. Great for backups or large storage for Network share folders.

This is my third unit and I couldn’t be happier. I’m a photographer and I shoot A LOT! Primarily weddings which means under no circumstances I can afford any loss of data. This unit is reliable, never had it failed me! ( I hope I’m not jinxing myself)

This was a gift for my son who wanted a large external hard drive. He says that it's been great, although because of the size, the start-up is somewhat slow and if it isn't used continuously, it goes into a sleep mode (with the attendant time-lag in start up). But it has a LOT of space for a pretty good price.

This WD external hard drive is an upgrade to an older, smaller-capacity WD product. Great storage and secure with password protection. Easy to set up; no brainer to use. Ideal for a growing small business.

Love this hard drive. Picked it up on sale for $119 and has been great since hooking it up. 5TB gives me much more room for my ever growing game downloads and helps the X1 run a little faster. If you find this HD for a good price, I'd recommend snagging it.

I needed a storage solution that was 2-3 TB, but found this with 5TB. Plenty of space with room to grow! Very happy with the quick arrival as well. Thank you!
