We bought this to extend our gaming capability for our xbox one. It was a plug and play and worked as advertised. I would definitely buy another one.

After spending hours taking and editing photos for our store products it is important to have a safe backup. This has filled that niche excellently.

I actually took it out of the hard drive cage and installed it internally on my PC. It works amazing and I have plenty of space for all my things.

What can you say about an external hard drive? It stores data. Only time will tell how reliable it is. My other WD MyBooks have never had issues.

I love this external Hard drive I can save all my Family home movies and Pictures and I don't have to worry about using all the memory on my PC .

It's a Hard Drive so it does what it's supposed to. The only negative is that it is formatted where you can't use Windows Backup utility until you reformat it. There is a download on the Western Digital website that will recognize the drive and format it to where it will work using Windows. It was easy to do. Apparently, that's the case for any external HD that is 2.5TB and larger. The one I bought was 5.0TB Needless to say, remove the freebies that WD gives you off the HD and don't store anything before formatting since it will delete all data.

The My Book 5TB is probably the best bargain amongst other storage devices. For only $30.00 more you get over half the storage space of the 3TB.

Simple hard drive that works great for my mac n pc. Does not have wifi n must be plugged in to an outlet for power but for the price its great

Have purchased several of these drive and use for rotating backups. The USB3.0 is extremely fast and significantly reduces the backup time.

Have always found WD to be a reliable storage solution for my data. With lower pricing for bigger drives this 5TB is a great value too.

Bought this after my seagate last failed, So far no compliants.. My last WD HD i bought was 7 years ago and is still performing great.

I purchased this as additional backup storage for my photos, etc. Western Digital quality can't be beat! This is the 5th one I own.

I purchased this drive and it has been working great since. It is plug and play for the PC. I never have any issues with WD drives.
