Plugged into a Mac, and it just rocked. Mounted in seconds, and was able to clone the existing drive to it in (almost) no time. Highly recommended.

The sales/tech person was very helpful with my iPhone 6 purchase. They explained the details better than Apple did and made the hook up easy.

This is a very solid drive (so far). I had a situation where I had a lot of content stored on a smaller drive and wanted to migrate it. It took quite a while to migrate 1.2 TB of data (something to do with two external WD drives not utilizing the full USB 3.0 spec), but it completed successfully and the drive has been in use ever since without problem. Overall, a good product.

You have lots of storage space. Easy for beginners.

This is my first time using an external drive to back up my computer. If you're just not ready to surrender everything to 'the cloud,' this is an excellent option. I like my files tangible. This is easy to transport, lock up for safe keeping and does not leave you castrated if you're forced offline indefinitely. Bravo!

The first thing I noticed with this back up drive was how fast the transfers were. USB3 is no joke! I've only just begun my organizing and storage project, but so far, so good. This drive seems up to the task, and is in no way hindering or slowing down the process. Plenty of speed. Plenty of space.

I bought this to hook up to my Airport Extreme's USB port so that I could backup our family computer (2012 Mac Mini) and my laptop (2015 Macbook Air) with time machine. Worked without a hitch, and very little effort. Now I have the piece of mind to know my mac's are safer than they were before.

i previously had a windows pc with a my book and when i decided to change to mac i had to backup my files and format the drive to work with mac but was getting problems with not reading files and constantly getting errors. i decided on buying a my book for mac and problems solved.

I have had bad experiences with other hard drive brands, but since switching to WD I have not had problems. I even have one drive that is over 12 years old! This 3tb drive is no exception. Works quickly and reliably. I use several of these with my various Macs. I'd recommend it!

WD 3TB has lots of space to store my pictures. Overall, great products, highly recommended....
