Its an excellent external hard drive to store your personal files, videos and to back up your machines. This device as saved me by connecting it to Time Machine as a back up device. It stores and shares files at really fast speeds. Making this device well worth using.

In my business we work with some extreme file sizes and 3TB gives me lots of room to work without worrying about running out of space. The setup was as simple as plugging into the iMac and letting the system do its magic. One of the other brands 2TB drives choked on running my application at full speed, this one WORKS GREAT! I doubt that it will ever give me any worries in the speed department. I bought this late in 2013 and and the price was less than 20% more than a 2TB drive. Therefore a Great Value. I will likely buy several more just like it for backup storage. Can't beat it.

Great Back up! This is my second one and only because I am caucious. The first one I bought is still running after 6 years without issue

Made to work with Apple iMAC right out of the box. Simple set up in minutes with Time Machine. Set it and forget it and no worries.

Drive works fine as long as I don't update its firmware software. When I did update the software when setting up the drive, it would not stay mounted on my desktop. I tried reinstalling and rebooting, but only reverting to the software that came installed on the drive would allow it to mount and be usable.

Directions didn't list our Yosemite operating system but a quick call to the company's customer support assured us of compatibility. It was very easy to set up and works well.

I was using WD portable for backups and storing pictures but it was filed up before i got every thing i wanted to save.This portable is much faster then my small WD hard drive
