Maybe I have bad luck
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2/2 have been bad. The drives work fine but the OS is trouble. It becomes unresponsive randomly. The vast majority of changes in try to make on the dashboard time out or fail. I can't create users or shares. The drive shows as offline on the my cloud service and the wd software. This is with and without a firewall or port forwarding. The drive just refuses to work. It gets two stars since it hasn't burst into flames and burned my house down... yet.

What's not to like?

I have two My Clouds for my home office backup system plus a set of My Books for redundancy. They're great!

An answer to my backup dilemma

A network storage device on my home network was the perfect answer. This unit is perfect, plus I can access it remotely if I choose to. I used it to replace an older 1Tb unit.

Inexpensive NAS...
