I purchased the 6TB My Cloud because I have a lot of digital movies that I wanted to save. This machine is perfect for that. I also have access to it on all my devices. Great product and easy to use.

I chose the device for my home network mainly due to it's size and pricing as at 5 tb, it more than meets the needs of my home network. It was very easy to connect and setup on the network and even novices should be able to correctly install this cloud device with a minimum of complication.

I bought this as a replacement for my portable Passport drive that I use to backup my Macbook Pro Retina 1tb drive. I am a graphic designer and was hopeful that I would be able to have all my files accessible on my personal cloud, but unfortunately this did not work like I thought. Setup was pretty easy, but accessing the files outside of my network was challenging. The single thing that made me return it was the fact that it took 3 days for it to complete a time machine backup. I have business class internet service and doing it over wifi (which was the basis of its appeal) was a nightmare. When it finally backed up the computer, the file was not in normal mac backup format so I couldn't even access the files. Maybe this works better for PC users...

It has taken me about four weeks to get all my photos sorted and loaded onto the My Cloud. I have tested the device from a location about 250 miles from our home and its function is amazing. The device was fairly easy to set up however the instructions that are included are really rubbish. The device comes with 30 days of free support and I used the support twice with great results and the downloaded manual is great. I really like this device and recommend for anyone who wants their own Cloud.

This works great with our Mac and PC. Lots of storage, no issues with installing or accessing. Easy to use. Highly recommend.

It took me a while but I put all my photos on this drive --- from 7 different external drives. Now my pics are all in one place and I can access them anywhere.

Great piece of mind knowing all my computers and devices have a back up! I also work with large multimedia and pleased to have space to keep filming! Would of rated it higher but streaming didn't work great as expected, looking forward to updates.

A quick setup to my network. Ripped 3TB of DVDs to it for streaming. Works great and now my favorite movies are only a couple of clicks away.

Bought this for my PLEX server storage and it works great. Fast, large and easy to manage. Definite recommend.

The device was easy to set-up and enable apps on computer desktop, iPhone and tablet. Able to access all files from anywhere on private personal Cloud

Kind of slows the computer down when transferring multiple files that are large. Also, the "How To Videos" from WD didn't really match what I was seeing on my Mac, so it took me longer than I would have liked to get it setup. Otherwise not bad, but there is a learning process to it.

I love this product. Easy to use and I can access it wherever I am. I use this mainly for baking up all my pictures from my phone and tablet.

This cloud makes uploading photos seamless. Free up smartphone storage space and designate which folders you want your photos to upload to. Fast uploads, easy photo management, nice app interface. Usb3.0 for an expandable hard drive. I would highly recommend this. No more paying extra for your I cloud, Dropbox. I have ended my subscription to both. Great upfront investment, standard 2 year warranty. Go get this, you won't regret it.

No problems installing it on my home network. Remote display of pictures is surprisingly quick. Interface and setup is pretty simple.

Huge improvements to previously very quirky software. The drive is a WD RED NAS drive which is good and the software works well. The transfer rates via Ethernet are much slower than via USB 3.0. So performance wise, it's a bit on the slow side but works well.

This drive was easy to setup and works great - I can stream videos directly from the drive on my network with no issues.

Easy setup for time machine backups. Have over 7000 photos and they were all backuped without any issues.

Got this network external hard drive on thanks giving. Got a very good deal and woks great. See my docs snywhete I go.

I really like this drive. Setup was simple. We can store all our phone pics for the family to the drive when we get home so we aren't filling up our iCloud storage but the photos are still backed up. Automatic backups for every computer in the house with remote access to data from work. Simple and plenty of space.
