This external hard drive has tons of storage and was very easy to set up, I had it backing up my data within minutes!

Love this product because it is faster and bigger than my previous 3 TB WD NAS which allows me to share movies, pictures, everything to my laptops, wifi enabled smart phones, tablets, PC's, WDLIve, and Smart TV.

I purchased this so that I could have a personal cloud rather than one provided by an outside company. Setup was easy and it works like a charm.

Bought drive as a backup drive for my computer and mobile devices. Setup was smooth and straightforward but figuring out how to setup mobile devices took more time. Also, the app for my iPhone uses a lot of power if you leave it on.

Very easy to set up and works as promised. One thing I wish is that you could set up the automatic backup for a partitioned drive or a multi drive computer. If you need it for that, you will have issues if you want continuous backup.

The my cloud device does a lot! I probably don't use half of the stuff it does because I don't know a whole lot about computers but it was super easy to hook up and connect and the Western Digital website gives you a lot of help as well.

I purchased the 6TB My Cloud so I could access all of my files from any location - at any time without having to incur storage fees or sign up for third party services.

We regularly use 5 laptops, 1 desktop, 1ipad, and 3 iPhones in our house. We were constantly trying to find a usb drive to share files or emailing attachments between devices. No more! This drive works wonderfully. I can even access important documents away from home on my phone. This was a great purchase for our family.

I purchased this product for a family member. It was very easy to set up and get everyone access. It is very user friendly for a novice user.

Bought this to add additional storage alongside my 2TB My Cloud--so far great and should go a long way toward meeting our storage needs

Using it as a backup solution. The Smartware software it comes with is mediocre at best. However, its easy and quick to set up. Good sharing options. Will be buying another soon.

Easy to install and configure after downloading the setup software from the WD site. I am using this network drive to share and access my documents and photos using various devices at home and while traveling. The mobile apps for iOS and Android devices are free to download and convenient to use. Overall I am very happy with this and would purchase again.

Love this immensely. Makes it so that everyone in my family can access my movie library in every room and on every device in the house. Simple to install and simple to use. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a central location for their music and movie files.

I have always had good luck with Western Digital drives. I needed more space and liked the idea that I could access files from home while on the road. The medical files I had were too much for my Macbook so this was an awesome solution. The only problem I found was streaming video. Higher definition home movies end up buffering a lot (about every 2-3 minutes) which can be annoying. An option is download the file on your computer then play it. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

I am partial to Western Digital products and this hard drive is my newest edition to the family. I purchased this hard drive to replace my Seagate Central media server. The setup was easy and the device has been operating flawlessly. Also love the mobile app and the ability to access the server from anywhere.

I have had drives from the big S...... for years, including internal and external USB drives. I bought a network connected S...... drive and it constantly failed and I lost all the data backed up to it. I had reasonable support, but the product was just not ready for use. Frustrated, I went back to Best Buy and saw the WD 6TB drive. Figuring I had everything to gain by trying it, I brought it home and set it up. I use the software they provide, the TimeMachine capability of my MAC Pro and the software from Acronis so I can get a full image backup on my Win 8.1 computer. Everything works great! No issues.

Installed it and it was easy to add items to it. Will call to there help line for more assistance putting and accessing movies from the device

Bought this hoping to use as a large external storage solution but after purchasing found out that the USB feature is not for actually using it like a regular ole external hard drive. Essentially the product is designed to only have a network cable plugged into it and the storage access is online. I'm sure it works fine but just wasn't for me.

Easy to set up and use. Performance may not be as good as a real NAS that uses desktop hard drives, but it's ok for home use.

The WD My-Cloud is great for saving your important documents, Photos and videos etc. It's easy to set up and is a drag and drop and/or copy and paste function. Pretty easy to navigate using the My Cloud Dashboard . We have it set up through our home network sharing and it's great.
