I've been reluctant to store my data on web based clouds because of security concerns. Let's face it, seems like more and more sites re being hacked all the time. This device is great because I have total control of my cloud.

Plug into an ethernet port and configure an online account for external use... that's it... Once connected you can configure for a local secure wireless connection... you have to try REALLY hard to screw this up

It's very easy to setup. No issue in accessing it from different location. Resolved lot of my backu issues.

Software isn't the best but as far as cloud servers go it is pretty good. I haven't really had any problems with it at all and it honestly has really good functionality. I am very happy with my purchase.

I have both Seagate 5Tb Personal Cloud and this, the WD My Cloud 6Tb. Seagate has had issues, and was replaced once for warranty after the last auto update of the NOS system rendered the hard drive inaccessible. In comparison, the WD My Cloud has never had any kind of issue. Restarts when system shutdowns occur never an issue on restart. Cannot say the same for the Seagate, where it is usually a problem. WD My Cloud operates best in my network.

We are very satisfied with the Icloud and it performs very fast and has loads of storage. The only down side is it's size and it has to have a power supply. But we are satisfied with the product and recommend it to others

WD has produced a great product to backup your files. The ITunes server leaves much to be desired as you cannot stream from the server for video files. Product was easy to install. Software for remote use was also not available when I purchased the unit, but has finally been released.

I had previous western digital products wd my cloud and wd passport they are great products and I will stick with them for a very long time

this is great to store travel pictures in on convenient place. It also allows for electronic download of pictures from iPad and iPhone when traveling so that valuable space is not taken up with pictures.

Needed to replace my 2TB external that was full. This drive allowed all computers to access without having to leave one turned on. Also, was able to attach old drive as a slave to new ne giving me 8TB. Working great.

We replaced our previous external hard drive with this purchase and we haven't regretted it since. The cloud based function works like a charm. Simple install and setup.

So far working great, can access files from my cell and all pcs in the house as well as roku stick and video games systems

This device has been great with all of our devices

I was looking for a device that I could use to back-up data from 2 PC's in our home office. I also wanted something that would give me remote access to all of my files when I was not in the office. This does it all including allowing me to watch movies and TV shows stored on it on any of my remote devices whether I am home or traveling.

I think it seems like the product will work great!

Toyota let's go this drive is great. You set it up it works seamlessly in the background if and when you need it it's there. Five stars for the drive. Two stars for the software.

Incredible price performance. I don't see myself using the actual cloud or mobile features. Still not ready to expose my personal data yet. But otherwise great product and easy to use.
