Very nice device, i was delighted with it setup with dual writing, so both disks had the same data. However, frequent hacking attempts caused me to shut it down, sadly.

I added two WD 16Tb Drives to this NAS device and configured it with the RAID 1 profile. It works well for backup from other WD storage devices. I'm very pleased with it. Although it took a while to assemble, I saved a few dollars putting it together by myself and learned a bit about configuring such devices.

Great speeds, consistently 100+MB/s. Easy to setup shares. I don't use the cloud features. The apps are pretty sparse. Drives sleep and wake as needed.

I bought this for my file backup for both PC and phones. It works well and is easy to setup. The only issue I noticed is the fan noise. It is not that loud but definitely the loudest thing in my office room.

I had an older Linksys NAS that gave up the ghost. Needed something to store my media collection, had plenty of hard drives kicking around, did the research, and went with the WD My Cloud. I really like the setup instructions that came with it. Very clear, very little chance for confusion. It all went together easily. Configuring the device on my home network was a piece of cake.

My third one. Easy to use, which isn't always the case with NAS units. It would be great if the app could be updated to better interoperate with Windows 10, but it's usable as is.

I purchased this NAS for use as a mini server for all of the computers in my home. It makes it convenient to access files from any computer connected to my network. Setup was simple and has been easy to use.

I put 2 3TB Red nas drives in this NAS box and the system work fine. This baby also handles some of my Plex files that are encoded in 1080P. I recommend this product.

Easy to setup, i have my own HD pop in, select raid and ready to go. super fast, works with my MAC and PC no issues. user interface very easy to understand

Great product. But this is the 3rd one ive had to buy because every 3 to 4 years they stop supporting it ans the network will no longer recognize it... thankfully you just need to swap the drives into the latest model and its back up and running...

Needed more storage capacity. Bought the EX2 Ultra to replace my EX2. I researched on increasing capacity. And, given my RAID configuration (mirror), the easiest way to transfer data was to get a new NAS. Had i installed one larger drive, the device would only format it to access the smaller of the two drives. Thus, losing the added capacity. Would have given 5 stars had WD figured a way to allow for easy converstion to larger drives. They may lose me as a customer if they never push an update that addresses that.

This unit is very nice. Sturdy. Putting my own drives in it that I ordered was an easy process. I originally meant to order a MyBook Duo and not a NAS; my worry was that I HAD to have it hooked up to the cloud and not just my local network. Thankfully, there is a setting in it that disables a cloud connection to your device.

This device setup quickly and easily. The feature set is perfect for a prosumer home network and the interface is simple to navigate.

My New My Cloud EX2 Ultra works great! This NAS is reliable to save my files to a network.

I purchased this to put in (2) WD Red Pro drives. Both work perfectly in RAID1. Speed is > 100mps over gigabit ethernet.

So far, this My Cloud EX2 Ultra has worked great. It is very nice to be able to assist files from multiple devices. Smart phones or computers. Definitely a nice and quicker way to access shared files.

Set up is easy and fast. RAID is literally 1 click for the type you want to set up. No voodoo needed to make this thing work!
