Amazing product, if you're thinking about a hard drive, this will be practical for many years to come

I have a Bose music system at home & thiz item is great for storing my music library & playing through Bose speakers via the Bose Soundtouch app! I am not tech savvy, so I needed a friend to help me upload & set up the drive!

Stop spending money on more expensive gigabyte phones and get the base model and back it up to this thing. Save yourself $100 a year on upgrades of phones that are no faster because their storage is bigger

The USB port can only be used to copy stuff to/from the drive. I wish it could be used to expand the available storage. The WD app is a bit clunky on the phone, but it works well enough on Mac and Windows desktops.

This is a great product it's easy to set up easy to program and easy to backup all your files within 10 minutes it's complete it within one hour you have a full backup I would highly recommend this product

Family utilizes the cloud backup for a number of files and pictures. It is easy to use, and give a good feeling of security that our key files are backed up to a safe location.

Love being able to save and access any videos and pictures I have on my phone. I also use it for cloud storage of my music. Everything from business to personal use, this has the capability to store everything.

WD needs to improve the functionality by allowing more ability of file movement to and from the my cloud unit. Unless you just allow it to do a complete transfer of all files (photos & videos) it is almost impossible to do it picking specific files and the ability to do other file types (ie pdf's). Plus I could find no way to back them up to a computer or other device. It seems their idea was to have you and others put their files on the my cloud and everyone to have access to them for shared viewing. I spent hours trying to get it to work the way I wanted to no avail. Searching the web only provided me with users that apparently never used one and thought it could do everything. And the WD website is way to vague on operation of the unit. They seem to infer just let it do it automatically and don't try to do any manual intervention.

I was looking for a Network HDD. And WD HDD surpassed my expectations. Easy to set up. Comes with Desktop app and both Android and IOS apps that very user friendly. Will definitely recommend

I'm an old analog guy and I'm having difficulty wrapping my head around using this component of my system. It is very cumbersome. My objective is to load several hundred CDs onto this device and listen to them on my system. I am experiencing difficulty with slow processing and getting my CDs stored on this unit, often with format incompatibility and incoinsistent operation of the music reading app on my desktop. Then I have to get Sonos on my i-Phone to select the music. So I'm usinfg one remote to get a signal to my speakers and then another remote (i-Phone) to select music to be played. The I had to get all this set up so each part would integrate. Nice when it all works but very cumbersome...

Great product. Very easy to connect devices and back up linked devices (iPhones, iPads, laptop) without having to pay for monthly service. Access to all your own content from anywhere.

If 2TB is all you need, this is a great cloud storage device, There is a 4TB version which is only slightly higher in cost so id recommend that one.

I needed extra space on my computer as I create PowerPoint videos amd use a lot of graphics. This was a great addition!

We are new to the world of personal cloud systems, but I appreciate the support on line from WD. The videos reviewing what we are capable of doing with My Cloud are very helpful and the setup of My Cloud on my android phone was quick and easy!
