Not user friendly

I purchased this to use as extra storage for my iPad since I video a lot. It's definitely not user friendly and the instructions with it are inadequate to say the least. The manual has to be downloaded and was very little help. A Best Buy employee set it up but it's not working for me, and it appears that it has corrupted some of my videos. Am returning it or perhaps exchanging it for another brand.
