It is smaller than the hard disc My Passport. Very compact. Silent. I do not notice any appreciate any significant difference in speed compared with the hard disc version, but the speed may be limited by the transfer speed with USB. It costs more, but the size alone is worth the cost.

Nice and speedy external SSD. Nice compact form factor and looks good. I bought this to use with my Xbox One X and it has paired very well for this use and I've noticed decreased loading time for my games especially for something like PUBG. I'm consistently in the lobby well before any of the friends I'm playing with.

I have been looking for a portable solid state storage drive for a while but they were to expensive. The prices are coming down and purchased this a reasonable price for me. The solid state storage hard drive can handle more abuse then older hard drives which provides me the peace of mind about losing that information.

This drive is fast, comes with a nice cable with an attachment for USB 3.0 on top of the USB-C connecter. It's small, only thing is that the design is nice but does feel plasticy but othewise, would definitely recommend. It's also just a little bit cheaper than most of the other drives in it's range.

Drive booted up with no issues and provided the additional space I needed to load games. When running games from the drive there is no lag - it's just like the game is loaded directly on the laptop. Highly recommended!

I love this little drive. It holds all my files and is very fast even when opening large Photoshop files from it. I just wish it had a lightning port, but that's a small issue. 500GB in your pocket is super convenient.

My Mac was. one of those recalled for a defective battery and I needed to backup the data (for the first time ever) before sending it to Apple repair. Used the Passport out of the box without instructions...it was just like you'd use a thumb drive...easy!

I needed this in a pinch for a time machine backup drive and this drive had the speed I needed to get the job done quickly. The USB-C transfer speeds did not let me down either as some other external SSDs have done in the past.

This is my 2nd WD Passport SSD drive that I've purchased. Fast data transfers, super small and easy to take along with my laptop. I love how the cable that comes with it can be used with a traditional USB port and a USB-C port.

I needed a new backup drive for my Macbook Air. I had problems with my older backup drive and wanted to replace it with SSD. Found this WD Passport SSD 512GB External USB 3.1 at Best Buy. It works great and don't have to worry about a hard drive going bad.

i use it to improve loading times for my ps4 pro and xbox one x (I have one for each). With the USB 3.0 ports on the consoles, there is no difference in speed between an internal and external ssd so go iwth the externals which are cheaper

copy and transfer file very quick. I save a lot of time. It's small I can carry in my pocket to everywhere, uses to transfer file from my phone to this SSD. It's lifetime waranty

I was pleasantly surprised as to how fast my information transferred onto this portable SSD. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs free up some space on their laptop, Android phones etc.
