I needed this product to quickly make a bootable external drive to rescue a MacBook whose internal hard drive boot sector had failed. The drive was easily formatted for Mac and functioned perfectly, providing the 'bridge' I needed to make the MacBook work while I salvage the data and replaced the internal hard drive. Now the emergency is over, I have a great compact external drive to carry movies and music when traveling. A 512GB flash drive would be more portable, but at the time this drive was $40 less price than any comparable size flash drive.

Simple and effective, worth paying extra for the SSD as opposed to regular drive, just had a less expensive 2tb toshiba drive totally malfunction and lose all data on it, go ahead and get one of these to be safe.

It's unfortunate this won't work with the new Xbox series S or X, but for Xbox 1 this will plug and play just fine. It will ask to format on initial plug in. I moved some more load time intensive games such as Forza Horizon 4 and GTA5 over to it and it's noticeably faster, enough to be worth it over a regular HDD.

Do you play Pubg? If so this is the ssd for you. Quicker load ups and everything is loaded in after you jump out of the plane. No more mushy buildings for me!!!

I purchased this item over frustration of having multiple HDDs fail. I tend to be rough on drives by "over" using them. This drive "wakes" up faily quickly and is ready to go. I can access this drive faster than the few HDD drives that I still own. With this drive, I have decided to start replacing my HDDs with SDDs.

Switching to an SSD for external storage has been a great move, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an upgrade.

This Solid State Drive has been a great addition to allow fast large files to be shared across different computers and platforms. We work with a lot of animation and video. Just the right price point.

Works good, had a strange occurance where an unknown source took up 122.4 gb of space and couldn't delete it so I had to wipe it clean and redownload everything. My real only complaint is that the cord it comes with is pretty short.

I use this little SSD as a backup for my desktop because I didn't want to have a full disk drive that made a ton of noise. It works great for my use, and I don't have many complaints about the included cord being too short. It's definitely easy to stick in my pocket and go. Worth it!

Got this ssd for my xbox and it absolutely is worth it. The load time for games like the division 2 are less than 3 seconds for fast travel vs my friends full minute.

More space than my flash drive on my Mac, simple to use, just use it as a back up and put it away don’t have to worry about spinning drives anymore

I use it to store videos and large files. Read and write speeds faster then internal hard drive. Small and easy to use. I give it two thumbs up.

I have over 8,000 pictures and 400 videos stored on my computer. I was able to put them all on this Passport SSD with room to spare.

I already have the 1TB SSD for my business. Best drive I ever bought and I've bought many over the years. You just have to make sure you have a good cable with it. USB-C to a USB-C port on your computer is the most reliable. If you have to use the USB-C to USB 2.0 or 3.0 converter you have to make sure the connection is snug for it not to disconnect. Still a great drive. It's worth the money. Very fast. A few days later the 1TB went on sale so I actually returned this 512GB drive and opted to get the 1TB again for the added space.

Great Portable Compact sized SSD for normal use. Read-Write speeds are less from what has been advertised.

What can I say? It's a half gig USB drive. It's USB-C, which is handy given how many laptops are going USB-C only. I got it on sale, which was nice.
