    I got this drive for a mere $79 because I needed to store my movies somewhere besides on my laptop. I needed a drive that would work with my Roku and WD has always been dependable. I have 4 of these now in various sizes, and I wouldn't go with anything else. Cost effective, dependable and EXTREMELY fast on USB 3.0.

    Using three of these disks to provide off-site backup for three of our Macs. They were easy to setup for TimeMachine I just had to reformat them for a Mac. I have had no issues with them.

    This external hard drive was exactly what I needed to back up all my digital photos. It has plenty of storage space and I love that I don't need a power supply for it. It simply connects to my computer with a USB cord and is ready to go. I also loved that I had a color option on it. Black is too standard for me and I love the shade of blue mine came in!

    My wife liked the 1st drive I bought and reviewed so much that she had me buy one for her as well. Same drive, same sale, but the Blue one was $5.00 more - everything else was the same. Really - more money for a different color? Otherwise - still a great drive.

    I love how small and sleek this external hard drive is. It truly was a life saver as I decided to order this hard drive, back up my files to it, and then proceed and download the new Mac operating system. Well, my computer's hard drive then crashed but thankfully I had saved everything and my brother was able to restore it all. I did not lose a single item.
