Finally! WeMo made an outdoor-ready outlet. This works great powering the light that illuminates my American flag. Light comes on automatically at sunset and goes off a sunrise. Love it.

Great for outdoor lights. Used for the winter holidays without any issues. Super easy to setup and didn’t run into any connection issues. Planning on getting a few more down the road!

Thanks to Insteon shutting down I had a few lights that were no longer automated. I already had a few Wemo devices, which I like, and so my first stop was the Wemo Outdoor Plug. Best Buy had them on sale and they were in-stock at my local store. My lights are automated again and I no longer have to run out to the chicken coop first thing in the morning to turn the light on. I do wish that the two plugs on each outdoor adapter could be independently controlled, but it works as expected.

I have other Wemo stuff and it’s gotten much better over the years. This one is awesome but pairing now has to through HomeKit and HomeKit is buggy
