    Great smart plugs to start your home automation!

    I use these smart plugs for my salt lamp, and holiday lights, and set scenes/automations with Apple's Home app so my salt lamp will turn on for 30min every night before bed. Setup was easy and these smart plugs are the most compact/smallest I've ever seen. I have always been a fan of Wemo, and so I was super happy to see 3 smart plugs for only $50!

    not as easy to setup and runs into issues with wifi connection occasionally vs other brands, especially for the price. But have good customer service to help troubleshoot

    TLDR: Better in every way than the old version except that they don't stay connected. I have two Wemo dimmers, two of the older F7C063 smart plug, and two of the new WSP080. I don't have any problems with wifi on any of my devices except for these plugs. Hopefully there is a firmware update soon to fix the connection issues, otherwise I'm going to have to return these. Nearly ever time I open the Wemo app, these outlets are offline, despite being within 20ft of my router and showing great signal strength.

    I was a bit worried because of the mixed reviews I've seen, but these worked just fine for me. I got them set up in HomeKit in about 2 minutes each, and they've been working flawlessly, and with practically zero lag. It's much faster than going through we Wemo app, in my experience. I'm planning to get several more and will hope they work as well as the ones I just bought.

    I just love Wemo plugs. Presently have 8 in my house. You're probably wondering why someone with 8 existing would buy 3 more then give it 1 star. Simple really, of my existing plugs, one doesn't want to connect to network and now sits in a drawer. I needed 3 more so I could plug Christmas lights and trees into them. Box arrived today, so enthused about the probability of have 3 of the new design and them working. No so lucky, went to set up all 3 and - one actually went through set up cycle but wouldn't link to my existing account. I followed factory reset and turn off my network to reset it as well along with restarting my phone. Still could not get this one to connect. - 2nd one: no luck at all, would finish cycling to connect once the QR code was taken. Went through factory reset and no luck. - 3rd one: same issue as number 2. oh - yes I was next to my router and it was on 2.4ghz. So frustrating as I love the automation of these plugs but will be returning them today and now will look to adopt another smart plug brand.

    WeMo plug hardware is decent, software and updates are garbage!! Plugs (5) keep disconnecting and won't reconnect to wifi. No other devices have this issue. DON'T BUY!!!! Find another!! Don't be deceived buy the high ratings of others! You'll love it for a bit, like I did, and now I am ready to get ride of all of them!!

    Buggy Once Unplugged for the First Time

    Purchased to control the lights on my Christmas tree and it worked flawlessly for the month and half I had my tree up. However, I decided to move the plug to my bedroom to control my bedside lamp. Now it does not work at all. I use HomeKit and siri keeps saying the plug is not responding. Unplug for 10 seconds and replug into the wall and siri will be able to control it for a few minutes before going back to saying the device is not responding. Recommend looking for an alternative if you are using HomeKit.

    Issues galore

    I’ve been wishing with IOT for years now and I have several different devices from lights, speakers, cameras, motion sensors, etc. of all the products I’ve ever purchased. WEMO is the ONLY i have constant issues with. Always resetting and now it’s where they won’t even connect to the app anymore. Find a better option.

    Don't Waste Your Time!

    Bought a couple to connect to my Google Home. They worked for a little while, then would randomly disconnect. Trying to figure out which of the many ways to reconnect them is just a pain. Unplugging, resetting, uninstalling, reinstalling, waiting for updates, just too too too many problems.

    Randomly turns itself off every week

    I've had the Wemo plug (2 of them) for over a year now. In the last 3 months, they started randomly turning off and I have to turn them on with the app. This doesn't sound like a big deal, but I have them connected to my security system. It's not only annoying to get alerts that the alarm is switching over to battery mode because the AC connection has dropped, but it's a problem if I'm unable to restart it remotely when not at home There are several threads on Reddit and other sites where Wemo users have posted similar issue "switches turn off randomly" and stating Wemo/Belkin customer service has not been able to provide a fix for it. I'll be replacing this month with Wyze or Leviton

    If you're using 5g on your network, these wont wrk

    W A R N I N G: If your internet provider has, or will be upgrading your network speed to 5g, and you have a dual-band router, THESE PLUGS WILL NOT WORK. You cannot switch between 2g and 5g on your twin router, your wifi will only recognize it's new 5g. (thus, interrupting any voice control of your plug in devices.) ".. sorry, I'm having a problem connecting to the internet.." Cox here in Omaha upgraded to 5g, which I love (for online speed!) But now, all over my 2g plugs for Alexis are worthless. I now to have re-purchase 5g rated plugs. And, there's only 2 true brand that offers them. Pandemic orders will take forever...

      Please make sure that the Wemo WSP080 is connected to the 2.4-GHz network of your router. Make sure as well that the unit will get enough connection from the router, and try relocating it as isolation.     Lots of wasted time

    I spent three hours setting up the previous version. I figured this new one would be less painful, but after 30 minutes including 20 meticulously following instructions and 10 waiting for Wemo support on the phone, telling my details and the call “cutting off,” well, don’t buy it. Maybe companies will have this basic technical stuff figured out by 2030.
