This musical, released in 1961, was nominated for 11 Academy Awards: It won 10, a record I believe still stands. Basically, it's Romeo and Juliet set to music (by Leonard Bernstein). It's iconic: a must-have for anyone who likes musicals!

A classic story - Romeo & Juliet - brought up to date, with a terrific cast, a great score with music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and outstanding choreography. This ranks as one of the best musicals of all time.

How could you possibly ever go wrong with any version of West Side Story? But this one is remastered on Blu-ray and is really just fabulous. One of the great all-time musicals and this price was incredible.

West Side Story is just one of the first musicals I love watching. The drama in it is so intense between the two cultures and the dance routines were pretty awesome too. This is an old film and my 8 year old granddaughter love it too.

This was a musical I loved since I saw it in middle school on VHS. So glad they have it on DVD now, or I wouldn't have been able to see it again. A great love story with amazing music and dance, what's not to love.

IT is a fabulous blue ray with a fabulous cast and basically a family movie as well. anyone who loves musicals will love this blue ray and surely not be disappointed. additionally the special effects are dynamite too!

I grew up watching "West Side Story." It has a special place in my heart, and when I saw this magnificent 4-disc anniversary of the film, I was ecstatic! The set includes the movie, tons of extras and a CD featuring the film's soundtrack.

Musical adaptation of the classic love story Romeo and Juliet. My purchase was the remastered 50th Anniversary Edition, 4 disc collection on Blu-ray. The music, dances, and acting tell a beautiful but tragic tale of two young people in love. I can understand why Westside Story won Best Picture Oscar in 1961 as well as nine other Academy Awards. The remastered version on Blu-ray is visually spectacular.

A musical that is timeless. The storyline is relevant in our current time, even though it’s more than 50 years old! Great price and fast shipping.

Yes, I know, this movie is old.... I will say that despite it being several decades old, the quality is pretty decent. The collectors series has lots of extras, way more than I really care for. The movie itself is classic and remastered well. I did notice a few high and low points in the sound that had me using my volume remote more than I would like, but it was manageable.

A classic musical. Interesting to watch this again and think about when this was made. Sad to think that a lot of things that were problems in the 60's are still problems today.

Nothing special about the contents; just a good quality transfer of the classic musical. For $5 how can you go wrong? If you enjoyed West Side Story, you'll enjoy this.

The movie is great but even better are the features. The interviews with Chita Rivera, etc. were great too. Having the actual dancers relate their stories about filming was timeless.

If you're a fan of this (somewhat long!) musical you'll enjoy this package. Nothing new, but a good clean transfer and on sale for under $10. Nice to revisit a classic.

I was intrigued by West Side Story when I was much younger and my finding it at Best Buy was a prize in itself. I enjoyed watching it yet again and am sure I will watch it repeatedly.

Great movie a classic. Had to order this online because my daughter wanted it after seeing it in school. She loves it enough said. Im not a big musical fan myself but this movie is a diamond.

I love this movie and think it's a classic. This version comes with both DVD and Bluray so very flexible. Also has great "additional features" disk that is fun and interesting.

I watched this in my high school drama class. I wasn’t into it then but as I got older it became more intriguing. I enjoy musicals and this is one of my favorite ones.

What can I say. This is a true classic that has been cleaned up for Blue Ray. The sound and picture have been brought into the 21st century. Even my 11 and 12 year old liked it.
