... this movie is. It's classic scifi/fantasy. When 'machines' become too sophisticated, watch out. Although a little cheesy by today's standards, it could be a warning. Also love Yul Brynner's single-minded gunslinger portrayal.

this grounded sci-fi classic is still a great deal of fun to watch. Paced at a 70's pace but never boring, the bad guy is technology and it's hold on the population. Sound familiar? Could be why they brought it back in long form television.

If you want a little imagination in your life and a little bit of drama action this is the movie for you you will not know how it ends and do you sit and watch the beginning to the end is a thrilling ride

The original movie attempt of Michael Crichton's story. Campy blinking lights and gears in the 1970's robots, but this does not disappoint. Glad to still find it on BluRay or DVD.

This is a quality Blu-ray of the original film, which is nice and short. It's very different from the new TV show, and this doesn't have any tie-ins with that. Not much in the way of extras, but I didn't expect that for this low price.

take your wildest fantasy, keep it clean, and head to Westworld, SHAZZAM! Yul Byrnner looks like he stole his custom from the Magnificent Seven Richard Benjamin/James Brolin are excellent leads picture quality/sound are fantastic

This movie was ahead of its time. It's been almost 50 years since it came out and it set the bar for many android/robot-type movies that we've seen since.

Great movie. It doesn't have all the CGI and high tech most people are used to. But still, a film that provides a possible glimpse into the future. Especially with all the talk about A.I. Scary.

I saw this movie for 5 bucks on blu ray at bestbuy and itwas a no brainer to buy. Its an awesome story and the visuals are much better on the blu ray then when i saw it on cable tv. The extras didnt hurt either. For 5 bucks and if youre a fan of the movie..buy it!

OK it's probably not that good but if you came of age in the 70's you will drown in a wave of nostalgia. So if you are 50+ get it and relive your youth. If you are younger that, let's say, 35......stick with the new version.

The original while dated is still as delightful to watch as the new modern version. Now we are not that far from what was then just entertainment.

Do not settle for inferior DVD versions, own this masterpiece on Blu-ray. The high definition quality makes it appear as if it was shot yesterday. The sound is crisp, clear and makes for a wonderful addition to my collection.

This movie was written and directed by Michael Crichton and was his feature diectorial debut. It inspired a sequel as well as a very successful HBO series. Watch and see where it all began.

I found this in the bargain bin while shopping. had just finished the HBO series. Very similar to the series, but the effects are a little dated. Story has some differences, including the ending.

I was unable to purchase this in my local store so I went online & found it at a decent price & it was shipped to my home in about a week. Pristine condition upon arrival. Hadn't seen this movie in a long time.

Westworld is a classic hybrid Sci-fi/Western unlike anything being made today. It stills holds up quite well even though it is dated in many ways but this blu-ray version looks and sounds fantastic!

This was a stocking stuffer and it was well received this past Christmas. The recipient is a fan of the HBO series by the same name, and had never seen the movie that inspired the show.

A classic movie that I saw when I was young. I had forgotten a lot of it but it was good to finally see again after all of these years.

The original, written and directed by Michael Crichton, has some cute moments, since it is a future based on 1970's idea's and concepts. Ultimately pretty great, wish it has more special features.
