While having one of, if not the most gorgeous visuals of other studio Ghibli features. The story is not one that will keep the younger children enthralled and demands a lot of attention to follow the plot. That said, for the older crowd this movie showcases great nuanced storytelling and gorgeous visuals.

This is a must watch! It's hard to explain how good it was without giving any spoilers, but I can say that it brings about a lot of emotion. Great to watch with family and friends!

The bad news is the first one is the better movie. However, this one is still quite a delight. The puns, the gross out humor, the corny jokes; they are all still here in spades. The focus is on Mavis and Johnny's son and Grandpa Drac who want him to be a monster. Great for Families with kids!

I didn't hear much about the film before it came out other than a few youtuve video trailers. But it's studio ghibli. So I bought it on a whim, and I am glad I did. Don't want to spoil it, but both the characters and the story kept me very interested. Glad it is not part of my collection!

If you like Ghibli, Marni is a wonderful movie. Beautiful art, a strong storyline with ups and downs but emotionally strong. Not as child geared as others but a lovely watch.

Studio Ghibli is one of the great animation studio out there. I saw this in the theater and is a great film with great color and storyline. Great for families to watch and very heartwarming tale.

This movie is so peaceful while dealing with difficulty situations of the main character. Would recommend anyone struggling with the idea of adoption, isolation, and social anxiety.

This is one of my favorite animated movies. I would say this movie would bring up some interesting conversations for children and parents... so be warned. It's a little on the dark side compared to other animated family movies. Either way, it was good, and I would recommend it!

Our Family have been Ghibli fans for over 10 years. In true Ghibli style, this movie had a nice unexpected element. Was worth adding to my collection and have watched it three times already.

If you're a fan of Ghibli movies, you'll like this. It's hard to go into much detail without spoiling but I was thoroughly (wonderfully)caught off guard with its story.

My husband and I both wanted to see this movie. We both treated hip over the revelations and emotional roller coaster it sends you through. Its what you think and it isn't at the same time.

A little different than expected but still great, not any extravagant creatures but still and pretty imaginative family story. I don't want to spoil anything so I'll leave it at that.

The story needs to be approached with the Japanese concept of love to best understand the movie. They don't tend to differentiate between familial and romantic love.

This movie hit hard on my emotions not only because it was a very bittersweet Studio Ghibli film, but also because it may be their very last film. I highly recommend it!

I find this to be an underrated Studio Ghibli movie. If you are a fan of their other works then give this a shot!

This is one of my favorite books, and Ghibli did not disappointment me with the movie. So many times the movie and book are so disconnected, but not this time!

From start to finish, I loved the film! I can see why it was hard to find on Blu-Ray! Everything about this film was really well done! Highly recommend it!

This one is a touching story. It has a great story and was very well received from my family. If you like these movies, watch this one for sure.
