    It stopped cooling and freezing food 2 months after the 1 year warranty expired. We didn’t purchase geek squad protection. We are still paying for the fridge and has to buy another fridge from Best Buy and they couldn’t offer a discount or credit. Now we’re stuck paying for 2 fridges at the same time.

    I bought this fridge confidently cause I know whirlpool is a trusted company. How wrong I was. After 2 weeks the rubber sealing of the freezer started to peel off giving the freezer zero suction and creating frost and icicles inside. The refrigerator rubber too was peeling off. I called Whirlpool, they sent a service personal, who said that the delivery people who installed probably didn't put in the rubber well and he fully installed it and we should not have any more issues. A week later the sealing was coming off again. I called again. They sent someone else, who said that this model will be a constant issue and he put the sealing back in (which lasted about a day) and ordered a new freezer door cause the sealing was starting to rip. I never heard back from them. I emailed and still no response. I had this fridge for a few months and unfortunately it seems like I will just have to trash it and buy a new one at my expense. I usually do not write reviews but if I can help even one person not have the experience I had its worth it. This model should be discontinued from the company

    This is the second piece of junk Whirlpool fridge I get. It was replaced with the same model same problems but more now. The inside of the fridge is dirty with black marks I cannot take off. The bottom and top drawers are covered in clear gresde that smells horrible. I am going to request the SDS (safety data sheet) on this grease. It can not be healthy at all. The person smeared this stuff like they had way to much and needed to get rid of it. I did not notice it so when i took everytging apart to clean it is now ever where. I am sure I smeared it all over the inside of the fridge as I was cleaning it. BB has not posted my review on the original fridge with pictures. I tried 3 times. This is the fourth attempt. First attempt on the replacent. These pics are the replacement. Same garbage but now worse. The first fridge did not have grease. What is Whirlpool thinking? Gow much heat can a drawer generate that it needs grease. This is disgusting! Now i am done with Whirlpool. I did call CS on the first fridge and they made me hold until I got tired of waiting. They call back a week later staring that no one in my area can service my fridge for the loud noise. Horrible product. Bestbuy delivery guys were great.

    How did this fridge pass quality control !?!

    Just over a month and the seals are coming off. This is unacceptable! They have already given me a gift card for scuffs scratches that were on the fridge when it was delivered. I would have had them bring me a new one had I known this would have happened. I only accepted the gift card because this was the 2nd replacement they have sent me and it was only cosmetic, this is a defect that will make my fridge run harder and cost me more money in electricity.

    Next Saturday Best Buy will be delivering my third Whirlpool fridge. It is very frustrating. The first Whirlpool had a piece of molding missing from the top of the freezer door. Sent it back. The next one had a seal around the door that kept separating from the fridge. Let’s hope the fridge that comes next Saturday has no flaws. This is ridiculous.

    defective insulation on door

    The fridge itself is wonderful but we've only had it for a few months and the insulated rubber moulding is completely detached from the door. Will update if Best Buy honors the warranty

    It was delivered on Aug-21, today is Sep-13. Seal is coming off in 3 weeks. The seal attached to the freezer’s door is questionable too. It just doesn’t look professionally done.

    The refrigerator is 3 months old. The freezer gasket doesn’t fit the door right and falls off food is defrosting in the freezer. Horrible assembly avoid whirlpool

    This is the worst refrigerator I have ever purchased. Impossible to control the temperature. Produce would freeze in the refrigeration compartment. Ice cubes would fall out of the back of the ice bin. Freezer began frosting over after 3 years of use. Was very noisy. I was so happy the day I replaced this piece of junk.

    Fridge is Not Cold/Does not Freeze

    The fridge did not seem cold to me when I first got it. I put some water bottles in it and they seemed cold enough to drink, but it still didn't seem cold. I was hesitant to put much in it until I had to. 1 month after I received the fridge I put ice cream in the freezer. It was very very soft to dig out into a bowl. One month after that we got another container of ice cream and it melted. I called Whirlpool and they did send someone out to look at the fridge. The man who came checked it out and came back another day to replace a sensor. But after the fridge was running he noticed that there appeared to be a leak in the sealed system. The fridge is bad. After conferring with his office, they recommended that Whirlpool replace the fridge with a brand new one. Whirlpool said no. I called Whirlpool and they said no again. I approached Best Buy and was privileged to deal with a non-manager as the manager would not speak to me. They said they would not replace the fridge either. The repaid service returned and filled up the coolant and said call them when it's no longer cooling again. I received awful service from Best Buy and awful from Whirlpool. They happily took a ton of money and sold me a piece of junk. I will likely not ever return.

    We purchased this refrigerator for a back up to put in our basement. I put a few things in the freezer and fridge before going on vacation for two weeks. When I went down to get something out of the freezer items I saw items were not frozen. I thought maybe door left slightly ajar or something so turned up the control from the recommended temp to coldest possible. Went back a week later and still not frozen. Called Best Buy they said I had to call Whirlpool. Called Whirlpool and they sent out a tech that came today and said it’s leaking freon. Now have to wait another week for a part to be ordered and him to come back to fix/put in a dye to see where leak is. I called Whirlpool and requested they just give us a new refrigerator since this has been bad from the start. They won’t. They insist the 1 year warranty is for repairs not replacement. They will not tell me how many times I will have to suffer through repair appointments should it not be fixed completely next week. Best Buy has thrown up their hands on this and offered no help. I am frustrated to have bought something new that should be working and wasting so much time now with repairs and it’s less than 2 months old. I will never buy another Whirlpool product both due to poor quality as well as poor customer service when there is an issue. I understand if this situation had happened with an appliance purchased through Lowes that Lowes would have assisted in returning and replacing so I will not buy any other appliances at Best Buy either.

    The build quality is trash. The doors are misaligned horizontally. The plastic trim at the top of the freezer door has gobs of epoxy in it. The door seals are already pulling away from the doors. The trim on the door handles is uneven and pulling away from the handles. The damper adjuster in the freezer is so stiff that it's probably going to break the next time I adjust it. Even the Whirlpool badge on the front is crooked. On a brand new fridge! Functionally it's worse. No more freezer light! The volume inside is much smaller. The adjustable split shelves have been replaced with cheap single piece shelves. The temperature adjustment dongle is huge and takes up precious space. The adjustments themselves are too few and give you options of "everything is too warm", "freezer stays around 3-15F but the fridge stays around 40F" to "freezer stays between -15F and 10F and the fridge stays around 28F". The door shelves in the freezer manage to be both much smaller and incapable of holding small-mid sized items. The crispers are a joke. One side is so loose the drawer barely stays in place, the other side is so tight that you need two hands to force the drawer out.

    Freezes fruits and veggies in back of fridge

    After owning this fridge for over a year, I feel I can give an accurate review. This fridge hasn't lived up to what I thought I was getting. the delivery guys were super nice to set it up for me and switch the door handle so it would open from the other side. After an hour of trying to get the door switched he told me the factory didn't drill a hole for the other side of the fridge so he couldn't keep the handle and top of the door secure. He ordered a new one for me and 2 weeks later replaced it. From day 1 it started popping and pinging about every 20 minutes or so. Sometimes so loud that my kids would say "What was that?" I was thinking it would stop but it never did and I didn't want the poor delivery guys to have to come back so soon so I waited a little bit but by the time I called it was past the 15 days where I could have returned it for a different one. Stupid on my part. but anyway, I have noticed if I place any fresh fruits or vegetables anywhere near halfway back to the back of the fridge, they will freeze and be ruined. It doesn't freeze in the drawers though, but the drawers are so small, I can't fit hardly any fruits or veggies in them. I tried adjusting the temperature but it only gives you 3 choices and the middle choice freezes my veggies, the warmer choice is too warm. I had a thermometer inside to see if the warmer setting would work but it was too warm to keep my milk and meats safe. I wish it had a dial that I could control not a button with only 3 choices. It also has the button that turns on and off the light when you shut the door in a horrible place and my hand has been scraped many times when I place food in and out of it. Why did they put it right in the center and not up top or down at the bottom? The button is kinda sharp, more like a lever. I wish I would have never bought this fridge.

    Worked for 6 months and died. It died in July it’s now December and still hasn’t gotten fixed. Do yourself a favor and don’t get this fridge.

    So disappointed with this product that I purchased because the magnet of the door was unattached and it doesn't close anymore,it didn't even last for a month of using and best buy said I can't return it and they can't do nothing but to contact the manufacturer which is very annoying because it took awhile to connect to the right person and they said they will work on it but until now nobody fixed it its almost a month since I brought up this problem

    This is a replacement model after my first whirlpool purchase kept freezing over. I have had this model for 3 months and the interior molding has started coming of, as it looks like it's secured by poorly applied double sided tape. The exterior holds every finger print, meaning you have to wipe it daily. I am currently awaiting the door to be repaired and the icemaker be installed. I would not recommend Whirlpool brand products.

    Non working fridge

    I got this fridge from best buy , but ended up returning it since it didn’t work. After waited for 6 hours and plugged in... Then waited 24 hours... nothing cold then I waited another 12 hours (total of 36 hours) but same... Thanks Best Buy for sending me defective fridge. I wasted my time and effort. Customer service wasn’t bad , but only thing they offered was free return pick up... Please make sure that your product works before ship to customer.

    The refrigerator never came, it was on backorder since October 2023 and it's now Jan 2024 so I canceled it. I had to called several times for an update.

    Fridge compartment is too warm; spoils food. We have had this fridge for a month now. For the first 2 weeks we had it set to the manufacturer recommended settings. For the past 2 weeks, we had the fridge set to the coldest temperature (of the 3 available). But the fridge compartment just doesn't get cold. I guess it's trying to be efficient. Unfortunately, we we are outside the 15 day exchange window. Best buy did send a technician out. He said the control board needs to be replaced and the freezer needs to be sealed with adhesive because there are gaps between the metal fridge body and the freezer compartment. He talk the Whirlpool about just replacing the entire unit since it's defective, but they just hung-up on him. I talked to best buy to get the unit replaced, but they said "no, talk to Whirlpool". So I bought a nicer Maytag fridge from Home Depot and will have them haul this disappointment away when the new one arrives this week.

    the first refrigerator did not work and there was not another in stock so they offered a 1.4 cu ft one until they could get one in. being a new home we had the outlets checked by an electrician and confirmed it was the refrigerator. so trying to stuff a full refrigerator in a small refrigerator was not a solution, lost about $150 worth of groceries and paid the electrician but 2 weeks later after the replacement came in finally had one that worked.
