So far the refrigerator has been awesome however, it has only been one week. The motor is very quiet and this machine produces ice very fast. I think i ended up getting last years model because we got just a tad bit more space but the amount is negligible compared to the 28.1 listed in the specs. The L.E.D's are bright and light up the interior effortlessly which allows all of the contents to be displayed evenly and without the heat of the older traditional bulbs. When I open the fridge it reminds me of the lighting often found in a high end jewelry store. I think that my favorite feature of the fridge is the second/middle drawer. It allows for us to place the children's drinks and snacks in a quick and convenient space for them. The close second favorite feature is the in door water/ice dispenser. The dispenser is quick and can allow for automatic dispense amounts of water. For example 8oz can be selected and will fill a cup to the determined 8 oz measurement. The fridge portion evenly distributes the cool air and does not suffer from items in the rear of it to be frozen or colder than items placed in the front of it; neither does the freezer portion. Overall I recommend this fridge and it matches perfectly if you have other Whirlpool appliances in the home as well. It's a great buy!

This is an excellent refrigerator! It has plenty of space for everything. There is very little wasted space. It is very convenient that the middle pull out drawer is adjustable to the type of food you want to store in it. The ice maker is very fast and refills quickly. The stainless is also pretty hard to smudge which is a plus!

Quiet operation, easy open doors, plenty of storage, middle draw holds beers at 37 degrees. Did I mention Quiet Operation? Sheet pans can be chilled. Three drawer freezer with Pizza Pocket, "Da Bomb".

The look is modern, lots of shine, you can see finger prints so be prepared To clean, lots of room in every drawer don't be worried about limited space in freezer it has a ton of room, great lighting in every area. The only issue I had was one week after installation it started to have condensation on outside of Freezer and ice building up on the inside of the freezer, had to call geek squad waited 2 weeks for part and Appt. but the whole top inside refrigerator was removed and replaced with a double fan that solved the problem, 30 min. fix. For that it got 4 stars.We are very happy with our choice now. It is quiet but seems to run a bit more than my 11yr old one. Sticks out far from counters, but looks fine. need room on both sides to open French doors, middle drawer is a must for all the things you/kids constantly grab out of fridge easy access.

We make our own ice blended drinks. The ice maker does not support making three large drinks. I have to make and store ice in the lower unit if we have even one guest. We make these daily so it warranted ordering an ice maker for the garage.

We've had this refrigerator for a couple months now, and it's fine. Several people have written reviews indicating that it is loud. If you are in the kitchen, you can hear it when it turns on, but it's not really that loud, in my opinion. We did find that the gallon trays in the door are not as useful as we thought they might be.. If you actually put milk or other tall items in the door, you then need to remove 1 of the 3 shelves so that it is not a constant irritation removing or placing large items in the remaining shelves. The ice maker was initially very loud when dispensing ice, I don't know if I have gotten use to it, or it became quieter with use. We do like the middle drawer for cold drinks, cheeses, cold cuts, meat, etc.. The only really bad thing I can say, at this point, is it took Whirlpool 3 shipments to get a refrigerator to us that was not externally damaged. Even the refrigerator we finally accepted had some minor damage. The second one they shipped actually had a hole punched in it! Seems like maybe Whirlpool needs to improve their shipping packaging..

I first purchased Samsung RF28HFEDBSR but wasn't crazy about it once delivered. Even with both doors open and extended, you could not pull the drawers straight out. You had to maneuver them towards the sides. Also, having part of the ice maker in the top left shelf area took up room I wanted for other things. I decided to return it and instead, got the Whirlpool five door. I love it. All refrigerators have pros and cons. The only con for me is that I need a way to store tall bottles, whether milk or wine. The shelf that slides back allows me to place tall bottles in front of that shelf but then you can't see items behind. Just a matter of getting used to it. (photo attached..you can see i have milk, cream, egg beaters etc., smaller items on the half shelf but you can't see behind the tall items) I have way too many bottles in my doors that don't actually need refrigerating...like wine vinegars, mustards, ketchup etc and it's meant for large milk containers and wine. I LOVE the deli drawer..it's full extension and holds ALOT of things, including soda cans. I also love the freezer...instead of having everything in one or two drawers, I can place large items in the bottom drawer, frozen meats and veggies in the middle one and butter and cheeses etc in the top drawer. I'm glad I didn't settle for the Samsung.

There is so much space in this referig. I love all the shelves in the freezer. The middle drawer is fantastic for yogurts, lunch meat, tortillas, even sodas. The cans can stand upright in the drawer. I love the crisper drawers. Clean, bright, and easy to open. I read reviews about this being noisy. It does have some fan noise when it is on Fast Ice Mode, but other than that it is very quiet. Our kitchen is an open format with kitchen and dining together. And it is very quiet, for us, even with fast ice on. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone.

We purchased this fridge since ours decided to die without any warning, and we've been pretty pleased thus far. A few of the quirks with this fridge--you can't really adjust the shelves, so some areas have very little large storage space--stacking containers isn't really possible with this unit; If someone opens a drawer while you are getting ice/water--it will stop working...so tell the impatient people in your family who like to try to get the pickles off the other shelf that's in the opposite door to wait their turn...or your glass will never get filled: And lastly it's LOUD. We have two kids, they're loud. For the better part of the day when they're running around it's not really noticeable, but when they're in bed and it's quiet--this fridge takes over any other ambient sounds that may happen in our house. It's also becomes very apparent after you've closed the freezer, drawer, or door. It's like opening and closing something causes the compressor to kick on and go into overtime. Aside from these few odd quirks, it's the best fridge we've ever had. One thing I would also tell you--if you're short, consider how DEEP this fridge is. I need a stool to reach the back of the top shelf, I'm 5'2. It's a really deep unit.

We had this premium 4 door fridge delivered in December of 2015. The crew hooked it up, leveled it and left. The unit is quiet, and operates efficiently (I think) The storage is great, two drawers in the freezer and the fridge part layout does not require opening both doors to get into the lower drawers. It is a great product

Very long & protracted story...had to have this fridge delivered THREE times before they got it right. The first one had an uneven freezer drawer that did not seal completely, causing frost/ice buildup on one side of the freezer. Apparently, this has happened numerous times according to other reviews. I even called Whirlpool, and they seemed to know exactly what I talking about before I had finished explaining the situation. The second one had a problem with the upper interior freezer drawers, where the sliding track would not allow you to pull the drawer out. Fortunately, that problem was actually noticed by the delivery crew prior to installation. Finally, when the THIRD fridge was delivered, we checked it out before they even took it off the truck :-) The fridge itself is awesome, and that is the ONLY reason we kept trying over and over to get this particular one. The middle "snack" drawer is great and convenient. One nice thing we just discovered is that if you have leftover pizza, the box actually fits inside this drawer, so you don't have to try and rearrange everything in the main fridge! There are some other reviews that mention that the fridge makes loud noises (compressor, water dispenser, etc) but we have not found that to be a big deal. Moral of the story....just make sure to check everything out very closely when it is delivered! As long as you don't have a lemon, this refrigerator is fantastic.

Spacious. Many compartments, which I haven't figured out a use for all of yet! Lots of shelf space. Using middle drawer for bottled water, since tall space in fridge is a bit limited. Split shelf is handy for that purpose.

So far we love the fridge. We are so happy that we have the 2 door and 2 drawer model and that the middle drawer lets us set the temperature based on what we want to store in it. We use it for veggies and fruits. Which frees up a ton of space in the fridge for other things. We also like the fact that there isn't a drawer in the bottom of the fridge that goes all the way across the bottom of the fridge. We can open the drawers because there are 3, 2 medium size ones to the sides and one small one in the middle. That middle drawer is awesome for egg storage. The freezer also has 2 smaller drawers besides the larger compartment. There are only 2 of us so the ice maker works great for us. We use it everyday and it makes plenty of ice for us. I love and use the measured water feature all the time. It is so nice to be able to put a cup or glass under the dispenser and tell it how much you want in the container and it fills it and stops on it's own. The fridge is also super quiet so far.

We needed to replace a side-by-side that barely fit it's intended placement in our kitchen and only had a few choices available. The wife and I are big Samsung fans, but for the money, this refrigerator was far beyond our expectations. All features work as advertised, it runs quiet, and the adaptable shelving is tremendous. I've read some of the lower reviews and we have not experienced any of the flaws others have endured. Best Buy had to replace the first refrigerator they delivered due to a faulty drawer control panel, and they were very professional and apologetic for the mishap. I have to say we are very satisfied with this purchase.

We've had the refrigerator for only a month, so this review can't address long term reliability or any maintenance issues. But, this fridge is gorgeous and functional. It's actually even a bit bigger than our old LG French-door refrigerator (which died a horrible death far too soon), while not consuming too much extra space. The multi-use drawer is wonderful. It keeps my son from standing with the fridge door open while he ponders snackage. And the multiple drawers in the freezer make it so easy to organize and find things than the single giant drawer from before. I love the ice & water in the door and how easy it is to see everything in this fridge. The only thing that I could say that is a downside is that the shelves aren't as good at containing spills as our previous one. But the visibility is a wonderful benefit that I'll happily trade off for spill containment.

I did a lot of research before buying this refrigerator and am very pleased that I did. Whirlpool has a great reputation for reliability and fix ability. Additionally, the storage capabilities were important to us. We love the space and ability to keep things organized in both the refrigerator and the freezer. The extra drawers are wonderful. The lighting in the refrigerator makes it easy to see things in every nook. We also like that the icemaker actually makes sufficient ice for our families normal use. We have had an in-door icemaker previously that did not make half the ice that this one does. The only criticism we have is that the refrigerator is a little noisy. It's not loud, but it is noticeable to us. I would however, buy this refrigerator again and would recommend it to a friend.

Seriously this is the best fridge I have ever owned. I have had it about 4 months and the only negative thing I could say is that the owners manual doesn't have great instructions. This fridge has sooooo much room. It is laid out so logically to maximize space. The freezer has 3 drawers so you can always see what is in the freezer. We love the measured fill feature. I did TONS of research before I bought this fridge and I am so glad I did! You must buy this fridge!!

We just bought a new house so getting new appliances just felt right. This is one great fridge! It has cubed/crushed ice and water dispenser built into the french door so you don't lose the upper left shelf space. Includes an exchangeable water filter that hides behind a door in the top which again, saves shelf space. One of the shelves slides back to make space for tall items that wouldn't normally fit on the shelf. The freezer has a vertical storage spot right at the front for frozen pizzas. The freezer also has two pull out shelves for efficient organization as well as larger bulk storage underneath the shelves. The coolest feature is the middle fourth door that is a full width pull out drawer that's great for holding cheese and lunch meats or any other quick grab stuff. The LED lights really illuminate everything well. I also read some bad reviews about this thing running so loudly that they had to return it. Maybe they got a bad unit because this one purrs like a kitten. You don't even know it's running. I would totally recommend this to friends and family. Also made in the USA!

Enjoy the quick access of middle drawer to fresh fruits, deli meats & cheeses. Impressed with the capacity of bottom freezer space and the organization of the 2 sliding shelves. Refrigerator space has deep shelves in addition to the width allowed by the French door opening. I put a lazy suzanne near the back of top shelf for easier access in reaching items. Water dispenser still drips after filling a glass. Ice cubes nice size.
