The old washer from the 1990s that came with my house drum broke so I was in a rush to find a new washing machine. I picked this one out because of the price and it would fit in my small area. My utility room can only fit a 27" appliance due to the door.
I heard reports of it being loud but so far it is much more quiet than my old washing machine (should note that my old washing machine was from the 1990s so it was loud). Best Buy came and was able to put the washer into my utility room, which itself is hard due to the limited room. I installed the washer myself as I have experience in that. No issues at all with installing it and it works great. Much bigger drum than my old washer as I'm able to do double the loads now. One little thing I would knock a half point if Best Buy allowed me to do half points would be the instructions was not very clear.
You have to make sure the lid is closed and push and hold the start button until you hear two clicks to know the washer is started. I wasn't use to that due to my old washing machine and thought it wasn't working correctly when I went to test it. That might be a me thing though. Overall I'm very happy with the machine.

I like the washer for the most part but somehow when I was looking for one to buy I didn’t notice that this one doesn’t have a place for detergent/softner. After looking it up, the only answer I have found is to put the detergent in the bottom of the barrel. Now I’m constantly worried by clothes will have softner or detergent stains.

This washer is only the 3rd we have bought in our 40+ years of marriage. The other two were also Whirlpool. NO computers, just a few dials. So going into this one was a new world.
Does it clean clothes, yes. Is it loud, yes (perhaps more than our old ones.). I suspect we will not get 20 years out of those one.
IF you were to buy this model I would suggest getting the one with the glass top. What I really do not like the most is I have no idea what is going on inside. I hear noises and electrical sound and things whooshing and swooshing and I'd love to see what was going on. It seems to take way longer than our old ones to wash. Sometimes more than an hour, sometimes 1 1/2 hours to to do a load. W found out it is huge inside. SOmetimes we had to do two loads in our old washer (we only wash clothes twice a month) but this thing holds everything. Our dryer is as old as we are and it can't handle the amount of cloths this washer can. Our first mistake was my wife is not much into reading so she messed up the soap the first time. Threw it on top, not underneath. Made a mess. Alos, it shakes a lot when it gets to the spin cycle. Trouble is you never know when that is coming.
To me, all the choices seem overkill but what do I know. The manual that comes with it is one small piece of paper. You will need to register it with Whirlpool, then you can get access to online manuals. That really helps define what the different choices are. I do not know if I can recommend or not because we have only had it a month and a half, and maybe only did 10 loads so far. Still getting used to it.

So far our washing machine was a great choice, it is a little louder than our last machine, but definitely a better trade-off to be able to remove the agitator of the washing machine. Very consistent and getting the loads done in a timely fashion and can handle heavy loads as well. Highly recommend.

I was the guy who believed older was better, we have had older used machines for years that outlasted newer machines by 4 times the years of use. Now finding parts for the old dinosaurs is getting harder so we did a little research and gave this one a try, my wife loves the ease of operation and the newer deeper drum for larger loads, then removable agitator is also a nice feature.

It works! Honestly, for the price I think it’s doing a good job. I like the design of the washer. However, when we first installed it the lid wouldn’t lock. We tried all day with no success, which was really frustrating. Fortunately, the next day it locked properly and has been working well ever since.
I will say that the small handle that engages the lock feels cheaply made, and I could see it potentially becoming an issue down the line. I also pre-soak my clothes because on the normal wash cycle, I sometimes notice soap residue, so pre-soaking helps prevent that.
Overall, I’m very pleased with it.

Great Washer. it is a little on the noisier side then other units I have had. But it's simple to use and the removable agitator is easy to take in and out.

Works well. My main complaint is that it is a little loud as others have mentioned, also I guess I am so used to my previous Samsung I hoped there was some sort of notification that the cycle was complete but it isn’t. Other than those two things it works well.

works great. directiopns were understandable. My daughter loved that you could take out the middle agitator and have enough room in the tubs to wash comforters. I didnt like it being so deep that short people like me have to practically lean over into the tub to get socks out.

I’ve had this washer for about a month. I love the removable agitator. I washed a king size bedspread with no issue. It came out great. The only thing I woukd change about this machine is the locking lid.

This was a good washer, but for me it was louder than I expected. It did not have a fabric softener dispenser which I overlooked. I purchased a Downy Blue ball for the fabric softener, but I was unhappy with the results as the ball did not function as expected either. I did like the option on the removable agitator. But for me, I decided to return this to the Best Buy store where I had ordered it online and purchased another machine. I had almost no problems with returning this washer.
