I love my Whirlpool - 4.5 cu. ft. 8-Cycle High-Efficiency Front Load Washer! I originally purchased a top loader from Home Depot but then I read the reviews and they stated that if you were under 5'5'' that you could not reach the bottom of the washer. I went back to the store the next day to cancel that order and purchase a different washer and they couldn't stop the delivery (in 4 days from then) and I would have to deny the delivery and they would refund me the money and I could buy another one right then. I said NO THANKS and went on over to Best Buy and got a better deal. They delivered it within 3 days (faster then Home Depot), took my old one away and taught me how to use it. They were top notch! Only good things to say about my experience. My washer was a good value and it cleans my clothes so well. I love all the features.

I would like to start by saying I would give it a 4.5 versus just a 4, but def not a 5. The washer has many modes and is very easy to use, clean, and maintain. I would only subtract half a star from a 5 due to the sensitivity of the buttons. I read other reviews about the sensitivity and thought it surely should be heat sensor-ed when pressing buttons. But nope, my clothes can definitely touch them. Not a big deal breaker for me. The washer does what it has to and works really well for my family. I love how it shows an estimated time remaining on the load. Right now I have this unit standing side by side with the dryer, but I love that it has the option to stack with it. Easy to install and very easy to move!

I’ve had LG before and it seems like 2-3 years the drain pump would go bad, so I’m trying whirlpool ti see if it’s any better. So far so good...i especially liked the wuick wash feature, very handy on small load. Easy to read and use buttons and dials. Hopefully thus washer will last longer.

This is a very nice machine. Uncomplicated controls with large capacity. As quiet a machine as I have ever owned. High efficiency, so it uses minimal liquid detergent. Clothes come out nearly dry. If you are interested in a front-loader, look no further.

It's been a few months now with No problems! It is true the start button is feather touch sensitive. However, that's not a problem at all. My wife loves the large capacity & the count down timer! She thinks it's neat to easily see how much time is left with the wash. I'm really glad I decided to get this washer!

We had a very knowledgeable associate who really helped us with this purchase. Based upon our needs we picked this washer and had it delivered for free. The techs were able to use our existing pedestal and installed it quickly. Evidently our previous washer had not been installed correctly which caused it to always be off balance.
The washer itself is quiet and does a great job. Because it is now balanced we can use the higher spin cycles and this in turn has cut way down on the dry time.

My wife didn't want all the bells and whistles - no steam, not dozens of settings, just a good but reasonably-priced washer to replace a Whirlpool Duet that lasted for about fifteen years without any trouble. The reviews sounded good and it does everything we need, and we couldn't be happier with our choice.

I researched (Consumer Reports, etc.) for months for a good machine. I even bought (and returned) a new and a used HE top-loader. With the help of a wonderful Best Buy rep. (and some Best Buy reviews), I finally settled on this Whirlpool (vs. an expensive LG). WOW! I am very happy with this choice. It's reasonably quiet, cleans well (towels require OxyClean and longer cycle), and is gentle on my clothing. I keep the door slightly ajar and have had no problems with mildew smells. I am happy with my new washer and so is my wife (wanted an old school washer).

I LOVE this washer. It's simple to use, it's quiet saving me money already. Full house of dogs, cats and teenagers and it's out performing any other washer I've owned.

I bought this to replace a 17 year old Whirlpool Duet that finally really died (and I didn't want to fix it again). Pros: Cleans as expected Cons: 1) Clothes still quite damp.....really wet...even after second drain/spin on high setting. Guess it doesn't spin as fast as the Duet did. 2) Water entering the soap dispenser is really noisy, much more so than the Duet. 3) Should have checked closer before purchasing, but the choices for cycles are limited. There is no soak only option and no prewash option. 4) The Duet used to slowly rotate the drum in opposite directions at the end of the cycle to loosen the clothes from being plastered to the sides of the drum. This machine does not do that so you really have to check to make sure no clothes are stuck to the sides after each load. 5) The touch pad is crazy sensitive. Call me old fashioned, but I like having a button that actually clicks. Any time I lean against the washer to reach in to the cupboard above it I manage to make the buttons switch. Annoying, but I will have to get used to it.

I have been using my new washer for maybe 4 weeks now and love the simplicity of operation, its a very basic washer. My clothes are much cleaner and smelling fresher than my old LG 8 year old washer and laundromat washers. Some people who purchased said the unit was a little loud which I have also found during a few phases of the complete cycle but then I dont think a washer can be completely quiet. Nice water flow into the washer to clean the clothes and a super large drum for big blankets and loads of clothes. Overall I am pretty satisfied.

Clothes will get the fabric care they deserve with this ENERGY STAR certified front load washer. Featuring Precision Dispense to release detergent at just the right time for optimal cleaning, this 4.5 cu. ft. energy efficient washer also provides enough room to wash over three baskets of clothing in a single load. The Smooth Wavestainless steel basket in this front load washer helps to prevent fabrics from fraying and snagging while the Cold Wash cycle gently lifts stains while protecting clothes from heat damage.

We were lucky enough to get the floor models of this washer and dryer at a really great price. Ours had died, yet again, and we decided we were finally going to splurge and get brand new ones instead of used ones as we had done in the past. This has been a great set. Capacity is nice and we’ve never had issues not being able to fit large comforters or things like that into either. They both run very quietly. Overall great purchase.
