    I had the worse experience with this stove. It’s only been a little more than a year and only 2 burners are working . The door glass shattered on the floor while my 2 toddlers are running around. I guess it worked for some customer but definitely not for me. Oh and 1 of the knobs fell off.

    I believe i got a used stove when i purchased it new! It has scratches everywhere and the paint is peeling already and I’ve only had it for a month!

    Range was received but gas line wasn’t in yet. When we was ready to install noticed range was damaged wasn’t told it was pushed into space & couldn’t see damage on rear. Not sure what to do? Please help.

    Purchased on 4/6/2018. Display died 10/8/2020

    As the title indicates - I bought the unit for one of my rental properties and the display went out within 2.5 years of purchase. Performed a diagnostic test - all components did have voltage - indicating the display just died. The part is about $130 plus labor will be around $250-300. I called 1-800-253-1301 to discuss what can be done; they offered "no concessions". The unit hasn't even depreciated on my taxes. Instead of repair - I decided to buy a new non-Whirlpool range; in fact, I'll never buy Whirlpool Appliances for any of my properties again. HOW THE HECK DOES AN APPLIANCE NOT WORK PROPERLY FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS WITHOUT ANY CONCESSIONS? I DO NOT recommend this product. I'm sure Whirlpool PR will comment on this review indicating that they understand my concern and "feel bad". To Whirlpool - a one year warranty is a poor way to indicate that you care about the reliability of your product.

    Worst experience of my life

    I purchased this stove as an open box it was marked as excellent condition. I drove 53 miles to go get it. It had a dent in it pieces were missing then when we connected the gas we found out the electrical part of the stove didn’t work it took 15 days to get a return and replacement. Worst experience of my life.

    I bought this "Open Box" in Excellent condition and I was missing the racks, four stove buttons and three of the stove burners. I am spending so much money on this stove because I am buying the parts separately and could have just bought it new.

    I bought this Gas range and after 2month later the oven door fell off by it self. I contacted to Whirlpool and they sent me repair guy to fix it and they needed to order some parts but i never hear from them again.. even I've been calling to repair company few times and left voice mail. I've been not able to use oven almost 3month now.

    Oh man. What a terrible ride with this product. Purchased about a year ago and have had three major problems that occurred WHILE COOKING under normal conditions. 1) while cooking at 350, The oven lightbulb popped off and fell. It took two visits From whirlpool to repair. Oven not able to be used for about a month 2) while cooking at normal temps, metal sides of oven door came undone from door. This took three visits from whirlpool to fix. Oven not available for use for about a month. 3) while cooking at 350, oven glass door EXPLODED shattered glass EVERYWHERE This was exceptionally scary and dangerous. I'm still finding glass everywhere. This took MANY CALLS and many complaints and MANY phone calls to whirlpool where customer service was rude and unhelpful. Reps from the repair people were also rude and dismissive. They replaced the glass part of the door, but it wasn't flush. Then argued with me about it Needing to be flush. IT DOES. Heat escapes and impacts cooking outcomes and times. Oven was not able to be used for over a month. I repeatedly told them to clean all the glass from the inside because of Animal and child safety. I stepped on a piece yesterday.

    I knew this model to be basic. However, basic should not mean BELOW standards. For example, the oven racks are substandard. No weight bearing skillet like cast iron would be safe for the user. These racks are flimsy! And the boiler portion did not come with any racks at all! The eyes don't seem to be able to go to a truly low setting. The feet of the oven are designed poorly. They extend outward, so no cooking without close to shoes. As for tipping, well I have very little strength in my hands. And I accidentally moved this oven! Maybe it's the install or it's the substandard quality. I have other Whirlpool appliances, this one is TRULY DISAPPOINTING.

    Safety Hazard - Oven door gets too hot

    Do not buy this range if you plan on using the oven. The insulation is lacking and is only insulated with glass and thin sheet metal. Typically the oven door has more insulation and a metallic/fiberglass gasket. The glass door and synthetic gasket (presumably rubber or buna) does not seal in the heat. We had the knobs become so hot they were soft/malleable and the handle to the oven door was too hot to touch. I believe this to be a safety hazard and needs to be recalled. The rear display panel is only held together with some machine screws and is not sturdy by any means. It moves if not pressed against your backsplash. I wanted to keep all my kitchen appliances one brand, but I will not be buying another whirlpool range in the future.

    I bought this five years ago and had to replace the oven igniter several times before even replacing it didn't fix the issue. I'm tired of having to repair this thing. My neighbor said they had to do the same thing, so I'm done. On a more positive note, I loved the heavy duty grill top. The top looked good, performed well, and cleaned pretty easily. The oven is the issue.

    Faulty Parts & Poor Customer Service

    I've had this gas range for a year and a couple weeks, but the ignitor for the oven no longer works and the digital display is malfunctioning. For the display, the lights flash as if the time needs to be reset, but it won't allow me to reset the time, set a timer, nor turn the oven on. The display issue happened a couple weeks after the oven stopped working. The initial issue was not being able to ignite the oven. When I contacted Whirlpool about it, they directed me to their website for troubleshooting after my year-long warranty expired.

    Problem child

    Ultimately I had to return this range for two reasons. First I could not deal with the way the clock display made an annoying buzzing sound that was similar to a bug zapper. The second reason I returned this was due to the poor layout on the backside of the range. There are three bands of sheet metal that go across the back side to help stabilize the range. One band is at the top, one in the middle, and one is about an inch from the bottom. Basically unless you have a gas line that comes out of your wall, and is in the back of the left side of it, you will not be able to push the range all the way back to the wall so it looks like it is sitting tight against the wall.

    Defective Unit

    10 days after purchase, we smelled gas in the house and called the gas company. They inspected the house and determined the leak was coming from the burner on the stove. The knobs were all in the off position and it was still emitting gas. Still waiting on a warranty replacement from Bestbuy. Issues like this should be resolved immediately and not have customers wait this long.
