We have had this machine for 3 months...and really like it so far. It holds tons of laundry, runs quiet, and everything comes out clean and well spun. The am glad we choose not to get the front loader, and the only thing I wish this machine had was a load size feature in the settings.

We're very happy with this top loading washer. In addition, our shopping experience from beginning to delivery was very good.

I love the different cycles specific to the way you want to was your clothes, ex- sheets, heavy duty. Water levels spin speed nice choices, plus to use economy cycle so you know your getting the best possible wash.

This washer is roughly 3 years old. NOTHING BUT TROUBLE after about 6 months. Numerous service calls. Replaced tub twice, replaced brain, replaced seals. If you must have a metal box of scrap like this thing, then I strongly suggest you buy extended warranty & service. This will no doubt come in handy. Thankfully we did and now qualify for the "Lemon" clause. Will no doubt be upgrading to something other than this thing. STAY AWAY. Good Luck

    Horrible on clothes

I hate this washer, it takes an hour for one load. It doesn't even cover your clothes in water for the wash cycle so it pulls on everything and when it rinses the clothes it does not cover them again to make sure all the soap is rinsed out..I hate it! I wish they would just make stuff like they use to and I'm only 26. It's horrible!

    Poor quality, Didn't last

Great looking washer with lots of features but very poor quality and did not last. Like many other reviews posted, drum bearings started going out after about a year. The way the washer is built, you have to replace the drum in order to replace the bearings so you are looking at a $400 plus repair. Washer gets noisy as it ages and ends up sounding like an airplane engine. Water squeal noises as it rinses on rinse cycle. At about three years old it started leaking water on the floor. I had always bought whirlpool for their quality appliances but after this Cabrio washer, I won't buy another one.

We had this dryer delivered on a Sunday (Best Buy's 7 day delivery is wonderful). Having been without a washer for 3 days, we had a bit of laundry to do. The first load came out unbelievably wrinkled. It was a large load, so we made excuses for the machine. The next load was a normal to small load and it was just as wrinkled. The third load had some of my cyclist husband's nylon/spandex cycling jerseys in it and even they came out wrinkled. We tried lowering the spin cycle, etc. to no avail. On the following Tuesday, we went to Best Buy and said we wanted to exchange it. Cudos to Best Buy customer service. They asked no questions, they just did the exchange and scheduled the delivery and pickup. The washer cleaned well, but everything was VERY wrinkled. Our previous washer was a front loader and that was never an issue. We are going back to a front loader.

    Washer has issues

I've had one of these (or similar) for several years but repairs are so expensive if anything goes wrong you have to just buy another machine. The tub bearings wear out (naturally) but you have to replace the entire tub and drive shaft for >$450 so 3 repairmen just said to buy a machine of a different type. The machine is controlled by one circuit board so if it goes bad the part online is $200 but >$300 from a dealer plus installation means >$400. The new board can go bad at any time. The tub itself hangs by internal rods with springs. Over time the sockets rust and you keep getting an unbalanced load. The rusted part cannot be replaced. The rods can be replaced as a temporary fix for a few hundred but rust will ultimately ruin the machine.

Worst washer I have ever owned! FIRST & SECOND times it broke, it was circuit board related, thank god they knew it was a defect & replaced the board for free (TWICE!) but now it's a year later, & the bearings are shot. Will not complete a spin cycle anymore, got 3 years out of a washer that broke down 3 times!

garbage. Can anyone make a washer that lasts!

Garbage. For those who have had this for less than a year enjoy it while you can! because before you know it a serviceman will be in telling you to buy a new one or that they can fix it for another $900.00. So after you spend 2000,00 on a wash machine that sounds like a jet taking off from your wash room, you might want to look elsewhere. (Although it seems no company can make a washer that lasts for more than 3 years)

    Don't buy this

This washer doesn't have an agitator in the clothes drum. I assume this is helpful to its energy efficiency. But the clothes are left in a tight wadded ball at the end of the cycle. This is mostly fine if they then go into the dryer to fluff out the wrinkles. But a lot of my clothes cannot be dried so the wrinkles don't come out unless ironed--and they still don't really look good. I haven't had to iron clothes in 10 years. The "energy efficiency" is not at all efficient for a regular working mom.

Is there a Lemon law for appliances?

I had a whirlpool washer that I bought brand new a few years ago...its broken down 4x now. This time it is the motherboard that needs to be replaced just to diagnose..the tech said its not worth it to fix. Whirlpool will not do a thing past 12mos. DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL AS THEIR PRODUCTS ARE JUNK!

Looks great! Other than that it is the worse washer and dryer we have had. Had with multiple rentals units we have had a lot! Unfortunately this set was purchased our home and from day 1 it is been a nitemare! Latest issue is with dryer. If we put more than one article of clothing the spin cycle becomes unbalanced! If you buy it don't say I didn't warn you!

To repair this washer would be more than replacing with a new one. Lasted 2.5 years. Complete fail. Will not buy a Whirpool again.
