I like the that the controls are on the inside once the door is closed giving it a smooth appearance

It washes the dishes well but doesn't dry well i always have to take them out and hand dry them afterwards which is annoying.

Very easy to hook up, very quiet when running. Love the silverware rack in the door.

This is a fairly basic dishwasher bought to replace a hand-me-down Frigidaire that died. The price was good and we just wanted something that would get our dishes clean, nothing fancy, but match the other new stainless appliances in the kitchen. The old unit was actually a bit quieter and had a fold-down section that allowed large pots to be placed on the bottom rack. This one is advertised as having that but doesn't. (The top rack presumably has some adjustment capability but it doesn't really allow for more than adjusting for cup width.) QC is a bit lacking at the factory. Our unit arrived with three of the four wheel assemblies on the bottom rack completely broken, and a plastic alignment clip missing from the top rack. Phone customer service was quick and polite, and the replacement parts arrived within a week. Installation was slowed a bit by the cheap plastic fitting for the water intake line. If not aligned exactly right, the threads get stripped easily by the brass nut on the intake line, and the plastic fitting itself is not easily replaceable. Lucky for us, we finally got the threads aligned without undue damage. A part like this should not be made of cheap plastic, especially when it's difficult to get access for proper alignment (from directly under the unit, not parallel to the floor with an existing elbow as I've seen in other models). The adjustable height on the top rack is a nice feature, although it can be a bit tricky to pull out the tray and realign with the alternate rails when you are holding a partially-full rack, which you usually are when you discover that the height is not optimal. I also like the option to put the silverware basket in either the lower rack or in the door, depending on what else I have to wash. I didn't terribly mind the broken pieces because of the good price and the responsiveness of Whirlpool, and from many of the reviews I've read on all dishwashers, buying an expensive model doesn't necessarily get you good build quality anyway. I would recommend this for anyone willing to put up with a few inconveniences before it is working just right, in exchange for a cheaper price.

had it on clearance so can't complain. didn't dry well. my previous old style whirpool was actually better.

This dishwasher cleans dishes very well. When we first got it, I loaded in some really dirty dishes just to test out what I had read about it online. And it got those dishes spotless. I was impressed and very pleased. I had feared that the dishwasher wouldn't be great because of its low price tag, but my fears have subsided. We have had the dishwasher for 2 months, and we're very pleased. I use it nearly every day for a completely full load. It is pretty quiet - it's loud enough that you know that it is running, but not loud enough that I need to leave the room to talk to someone or to hear the tv. I know that quieter dishwashers are available, but I wouldn't pay more just to have a quieter dishwasher - this one is quiet enough. It is very easy to use, and I like that the buttons are on the top of it, so it doesn't take away from the clean appearance of the dishwasher. And my kids can't access the buttons! The stainless steel front doesn't get dirty-looking easily despite my 2-year old and 5-year old touching it all the time. One unique thing about it is that the utensil rack is on the door. It can be taken off easily and placed in the lower rack. It is a little small. But I've kept it on the door because it is so easy to slip a utensil into it quickly without needing to open the dishwasher completely. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about it given its small size and unusual location, but I've grown to like it there. And even though my utensils have felt a little cramped, they still come out clean. I consider it a great dishwasher regardless of the amount it costs, and its low price is the icing on the cake.

I finally purchased this dishwasher after about a month of researching. I purchased this in-store over President's Day weekend sale at a GREAT price, $399 ~ plus I had Reward Zone certificates, so final price was $339! That sold me on this unit. We installed this in just a few hours and it was truly uneventful. Performance: I have found no issues with the performance of the dishwasher. It is super silent, you hear it start and then that is it. I do wish that there was an indicator on the front that tells you the cycle has finished. I do have to get use to the silverware basket on the door. This can be moved, but I really like the extra space in the bottom rack with it being in the door. I LOVE the fold-down tines, makes holding larger items easy. Overall, I am very glad I selected this unit. So far, so good!
