Plastic tub and accessories are awful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We previously had a washer with a stainless steel tub and it was great - lasted forever. This new washer has a plastic tub and everything associated with it is awful. Parts constantly fall off and sometimes can't even figure out where they came from. The top rack is very weak when pulled out to load or unload dishes which leads it to come off the track frequently. The drying feature isn't good, especially with the utensils- always have to dry them off when we pull them out. Should have spent the money for stainless tub again.

Nice dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Working as advertised and looks great. It was ideal to buy as a part of a package where I replaces all of my kitchen appliances.

Call me unlucky
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this dishwasher in January 2014...since then I had a few issues: - water licking from under the front door - steam damage in the flooring and wood around the machine - machine wouldn't start - pump replaced - motor burn US$ 450 to replace, a little over 1 year usage. STAY AWAY!

Buyer Beware

Okay dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After owning for 16 months this washer quit working. After paying a service guy to come out for repair we were told $300 for a new control board but we couldn't get it because they were back ordered. I guess whirlpool is having problems with this washer. And last it doesn't dry very well either. That will be the last whirlpool product we buy.

Gaebage DW. DONT BUY!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I wasn't planning on selling my house, I would never have installed. Pump Motor was actually ONE THIRD the size of our old machine. EVERYTHING is plastic. The install hoses were so cheap I went Home Depot to buy new one, along with water hoses, and non standard fittings that you need to install this Piece of Junk!? Now out another $40! RUN, don't walk away!

Brand new and doesn't work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This dishwasher was installed new with tags in a home I just moved into. It does not drain and needs a new drain pump. Whirlpool keeps saying the part is on back order and will not replace the dishwasher. A brand new dishwasher should work. If it doesn't and parts aren't available Whirlpool should replace the appliance. Don't get stuck in dishwasher limbo like me. Do not buy and I will never buy Whirlpool again.

Looks Good, but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to say that I really didn't pay a lot for this DW, however, It's a good thing I didn't. The best thing about this unit is it's looks. Performance is poor, and build quality is sub-par. Even the more simple thing like rack design is bad (will not hold plate in an upright position. The top rack is always coming loose on the left side and causing the rack to sag. Not to pile on the bad, but the delivery and installation was a nightmare. Once installed, incorrectly, the DW kept coming loose from the mounts. It took me 6 calls, and three set appointments to get corrected.

Buy Whirlpool Products - Noooooooo!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Whirlpool manufactured dishwasher failed after only 2 years due to a control panel defect that has apparently existed for several years. Whirlpool customer service was - well - nothing. I am on my own. Save yourself the expensive and frustrating experience I have had - do not purchase a Whirlpool Corporation product. I for one never will again and neither will anyone who chooses to heed my advise.

Buyer Beware terrible customer service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Broken dishwasher in under a year and nonexistent customer service! My advice is to avoid any and all Whirlpool products. This dishwasher was in the new model home I recently purchased. There was a problem with the door and hinges so I called for service. Three weeks and four service visits later I still don't have a functioning dishwasher. Whirlpool has replaced the entire tub and hinge assembly twice and is now scheduled to replace the entire door. Regardless of the number of visits by the repair man and the plumber they refuse to just replace the unit. They are uninterested in the fact that I am unhappy and without a dishwasher for three weeks. I have had great customer service and product experiences with LG and Best Buy in the past and will go that way again in the future.

Decent for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works fairly well but appears to be louder than the decibel rating advertised. Also, there is excessive moisture in the unit even after using the heated dry cycle.

Bad design
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Major issue with the top rack adjuster. Designed so the top rack can raise or lower for taller items. However, the latch is on the inside where glasses are placed. Extreme care has to be taken to not hit the latch and/or make sure that nothing has shifted during washing. Good idea, I guess, with poor execution. After 9 months the latch has broken and is being replaced under warranty.

The plastic lining smells like a wet dog
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have used for a couple years and battled a constant smell from the tub. The dishes I put in are pre washed in the sink and have no food on them, I use Cascade and Jet Dry, and the 3 hour normal wash and clean the filter and wipe down the inside with paper towel and cleaner. Somehow the tub still smells like a wet dog when finished. My last dishwasher was in a rental unit and I abused it and the dishes always came out fresh and clean. I had Geek Squad come out to see what was wrong but couldn't solve it.

After about 3 years...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The circulation pump currently does not work. The paint on the white finish has cracked and chipped off near the vent. The control panel has had intermittent errors which require disassembling the front door and reconnecting the panel. The lower spray arm has disconnected, and fallen into the heating element. The filter is easily misaligned when screwed in, which led to clogging of the spray arms. My 20 year old dishwasher was more reliable.

Breaks down a lot
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had to have this dishwasher repaired at least 3 times. The latest issue was the pump motor failing and occurred after the 5 year parts warranty was up. I will not be purchasing a whirlpool dishwasher again.
