Incredible view into a turbulent time

This movie would be an incredible companion to Neil Jordan's "Michael Collins". Both are period pieces set during the tumultuous 1920's in Ireland. While "Michael Collins" provides a great view of the conflict from the perspective of those who signed the Anglo-Irish Treaty of 1921, this movie provides a more detailed look at those who refused. Disturbing at times in its raw honesty, I highly recommend this movie to anyone who is interested in Irish history.

The Wind That Shakes the Barley

The plot of the movie dealt with the conflict between the Irish and the British. The visciousness of what the British did to the Irish was
terrible and showed why the Irish hated the British so feircely. A
very good movie and very helpful in learning about the history of the conflict.
