Hard to find, had to order online. Not available in stores due to Windows 8 Upgrade being more available.

The install went quickly and quietly as I was replacing the hard drive with a SSD (Solid State Drive) on my wife's Sony VAIO laptop that came with VISTA (Yuck!). The laptop was performing like a dog, and even though it is restricted to 2GB max. RAM, I knew that I had to be able to do something that would allow her to use it again. (She was ready to toss a high-end 13" Intel 2.4GHz Dual Core laptop in the trash it was so bad!) Well it performs MUCH faster now due in large part to the SSD upgrade, (There are needless "complications" with running SSDs in XP or even sometimes VISTA.) and aside for the integrated SONY webcam, (Known Windows-7 driver issues) everything works great now. This sub-$100 purchase just saved me from having to buy a new $800-plus comparable ultrbook replacement!

I hated Windows 8 (to "social-oriented, not work-oriented enought) so bought Windows 7. But after three trips to Data Doctors, and two visits by an in-home service techs, Windows 7 keeps freezing up and losing data. What's happened to Microsoft's quality control?

Bought this to complete my home network which includes 4 computers, now that we are all on Windows 7, home networking is a breeze and the parental controls are amazing and non intrusive. The 64 bit version has provided the opportunity to add extra memory which provided an easier time browsing, using multiple apps, and downloading multiple files at the same time. If you have XP or Vista, dump it and get this operating system, you will never look back.

Great product, ease to install. However you need a magnifying glass to read the product code, the charecters are 1/16" high on a mosaic of orange, blue and green back ground. Black characters on blue back ground is very hard to read. One would think after paying over $100 for a product that you would be able to easily read the product code but apparently mircosoft wants to keep that a secret too.

I just wanted to re-install my old version of windows 7. I don't really like windows 8 and am not ready to switch over.

I have a MacBook Pro and it was very difficult to install. I needed up having to reinstall it with help from a friend who had already put windows on his Mac.

This is much better than the previous windows programs.

Pros the best sense xp . Bought to play Window based games on my New IMac . Sure wish everything would run on a Mac .
