love the art style of this gem, with great platforming and fun animal changing mechanics! you can also play with the oldschool graphics!

I was excited to play this game after finding out that a 2D side-scroller was being remade and it looked pretty good. The game-play is dull but the graphics are very good and as an added bonus you can switch back and forth between modern graphics and the original 8 bit graphics. However, I am not sure about this game, I have only played for an hour or so and so far I am not loving this game and you may like this game if you live 2D side-scoller but I am not sold.

This is a fun throwback platform game. It is very much like its release in the 90s, but with upgraded graphics and music.

The game is very short. I beat it in two days. It looks great and the remix soundtrack is great, but not enough content for the price.

Get the physical copy of this game cause it includes some goodies inside. i like how you can actually switch to retro mode with the push of a button while playing. Many games have a retro mode to play separately but this is the first i've come across where you can switch during gameplay! Love the new soundtrack but I preferred switching to retro soundtrack while playing the remake, just to rekindle old memories when this first came out in Sega in 1989.

This is a great little collector's edition that includes a couple of extras. It also has some game play features that I think are really cool. The coolest one is the ability to change between the original old school graphics and the new animation at any point in the game. If you are a fan of the original or just looking for a game with a different twist on it then give this one a try.

This remake is beautiful and a very fun game. Some parts can get frustrating, but overall this game is worth a playthrough.

Very fun! A wonderful classic, remastered. Just as I remember it.

One of my favorite games of all time is back and better than ever. You can play this with updated visuals or with it's original graphics. Both are fantastic ways of playing it but just know that this is a old school gaming experience. That being said, it is a great addition to the Switch Library.

I didn’t know what to expect from this one as I never played the original. I was pleasantly surprised. This was a very fun retro inspired platformer. It reminds of platformers from back in the day — when they were hard! Cute story and amazing graphics. Get the physical version for all the extra goodies.

This game is an all around gem. The hand drawn graphics are breathtaking and that alone justifies the purchase. With that said, the gameplay is a blast and I found myself wanting to continue through the journey and beat the game. Looking forward to the sequel - Monster Boy and The Cursed Kingdom!

This game has a true retro feel with the option of switching back and forth between updated graphics and the original eight-bit sprite graphics. The gameplay is solid, challenging, and rewarding. The items included with this physical release, including the classic styled manual, were great additions.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap is amusing for a few hours before it turns rather stale. The combat system is fast and sharp, but also repetitive, and because there is so little in terms of story and characters, there are few reasons to replay the game once the short adventure is over.

Fantastic faithful remake/sidemake. The game has gorgeous new art, while still preserving the old sprites that you can freely change between. One of the few if not only cross platform games that span over multiple decades, as the password system works between this and the master drive version.

I played this game back on the SMS and loved it then. This remake has stunning visuals and it is truly well deserved. This game is a blast from the past that anyone into the retro scene will appreciate and even newer gamers will find fun.

I enjoyed this update to a classic game that I played from my childhood. It's not the greatest game of all time, but I've been a fan since I was a kid and this payed heavy respect to the original. Definitely recommend.

Great game. I had the original when I was a kid and this remake does it remarkable justice. Whether you're new to the wonder boy series or replaying for nostalgia-sake this is a beautifully done reimagining of a classic game.

What can i say,handsomely remade classic title,geniously great the way you could switch the graphics from the new style to the classic style at any time,any generation would love this title,from the classic gamer that wants a flashback to the new one that's looking for a challenge,enough wonderboy for everyone.
