Customers are saying

Customers highly value the collector's edition, expansion, book, music, coin, and digital goodies that come with the World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Collector's Edition. They particularly appreciate the elegant Elegy/Good War book and the improved music. While some customers find the $100 price tag too high, many believe it is worth the cost for the quality and quantity of items included.

This is a new expansion to the WoW series. It is a Legion 2.0 almost, but I personally do not think it is as good as Legion.

Lots of initial mistakes, some being fixed now, but still not quite what the last expansion was.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Blizzard used to be the greatest gaming company ever. This is the beginning of the end. For the first time a wow collector's edition does not include an art book? seriously? Worst expansion in wow history. screw blizz.

Updated CE items are a WELCOME CHANGE!

Not sure why some people have negative thoughts on the changes in the updated physical Collectors Edition content. Seems like they've taken out things that have simply become dated and have limited usefulness with things that are far more useful, and will stay that way for a long time. They switched the physical soundtrack for a digital one, which is GREAT because who didn't rip it in to digital format anyway? They replaced the art book with a double sided story book with perspectives from both horde and alliance. Finally, they replaced the mousepad with a very large, nice quality coin that is a fabulous and unique collectable item worth far more than the mousepad it replaces. This CE is $99, but the last one was also... it's not been $79 for at least two years. I ordered several copies because some of you negative nellys are going to wish you had this once they're gone, and I'll see you on the auction sites.

The collector's edition is great. The Coin is sizable with a lot of weight to it, a fantastic paper weight or display item. The book is well written with quality production values. The game itself is a lot of fun, following close to the template Legion set. The story is set to finally deal with a lot of themes and plots set-up over the entire game, and it's exciting to see them come to a conclusion.

    Great Value

One of the best new features is in this CE is the digital credit that will be allocated to your battle net account if you have already purchased BFA, which a lot of people already have to unlock the new races. This is great value, especially when combined with Gamer's Club Unlocked if you're a member. Another change which I think is a solid benefit is getting a digital soundtrack to the game instead of a physical one. Outside of a gaming console and a bluray/dvd player, most people aren't playing CDs. I think the BFA coin is a huge improvement over the mouse pad that I will never use and makes for better desk eye candy. The biggest change that people hate is the lack of an art book, but this has been replaced with two novellas that will have heavy art. As someone who can't stand to read digital books, this is a partially ambivalent change to me, because I'll probably get more overall enjoyment(Hours to minutes) out of the novellas than some artbook that I'll look and be done with in an hour. Though the BfA art does look awesome. The one thing I found disappointing is the lack of the behind-the-scenes dvd, but I believe the other changes negate my disappointment. Cheers to Blizzard for trying something new with the books, credits, and coin.

Gotta Buy Em All - or not

I have every CE except vanilla and WoD. I always buy them. I'm not seeing the extra value in this compared to the extra cost. Maybe I'm strange and like the mousepad and art book, but for the price difference I think I will be just as happy with the digital copy. That includes my gamers club discount. There is just nothing about a book and coin I find ofany value.

    Very poor contents for price

So, this is officially now the worst Collector's Edition that has been released by Blizzard. In previous CE's we would get a nice mouse pad, art book, making of documentary, and awesome physical soundtrack with a beautiful case and little bit of lore and credits inside. Now we get digital this, digital that, nothing sentimental except two crappy coins and a small story book? Sigh....I am extremely disappointed by Blizzard for this laziness. $100 is absolutely absurd this time around. This is the only time I will most likely not be getting the CE unless I get some kind of gift card to spend. No way will I waste my money on this sorry excuse of a collector's edition package. The only reason I gave it two stars is because of how good it smells and feels when the box is in your hand. It is a nice feeling to have something like this in your hands, but once I open it and realize it is missing all kinds of stuff I used to get, I will be sorely disappointed.

I purchase almost all the collector's editions for each expansion(except the vanilla wow) and was happy with all of them but this one does not give you anything special to collect. The case and the coin is cool but there is nothing else, no artwork, no physical game, no physical soundtrack... I know everything is digital now and most of us never ever use the physical copy but I really would love to have the physical copy for my collection and that's why we buy collector edition otherwise we would just get the deluxe version. No mouse pad or anything valuable. But still, the coin is cool but not worth the money in my opinion. Might worth it , if they put CE edition on sale someday but not for 99$

    CE not worth it anymore

Since the beginning, I have purchased every since Collector's Edition of WoW. The CE of the game use to be worth the price, it would include a hardcover artbook, mouse pad, behind the scenes dvd/bluray, and a physical copy of the soundtrack. With this CE, they made the soundtrack a digital download (which isn't a bad thing), but they TOOK AWAY everything else priorly listed. Instead, you get a hardcopy version of their new novellas and a "Mark of Allegiance" (i.e. fancy WoW Coin about the size of a drink coaster). No more artbook, no more behind the scenes, and no more mouse pad for $10 more than the previous CE.
