Customers are saying

Customers find value in the gameplay, large roster of wrestlers, and improved career mode of WWE 2K16. Many appreciate the inclusion of wrestlers from different eras and the ease of learning the game. However, some users find the control scheme and submission system challenging, and a few have noted difficulty with certain moves and AI opponents. The overall experience is largely positive, but improvements could be made to address these specific concerns.

I used to buy the smackdown games every year and stopped once they switched to the year number titles, and wasn't a fan of the 2k transition either. This version is very polished and has the aspects that made me like the game all those years ago. The roster is huge even without counting the different versions of the same character. The gameplay is better than in prior years, but it will take some time to get used to the new submission system. The pace of the matches feels more tv like, and the story mode is back in the form we remember from all those years ago. A solid 8.5/10

Best WWE Game in Years, Heading for Best yet!

This year's addition to the long lineage of WWE games is a fantastic surprise. The interface and concepts introduced in WWE 2K15 has been improved upon greatly, making matches look and feel smoother and more fun than ever. Overhauling the reversal system is the biggest change in mechanics. Players now have a limited number of reversals they can perform at any given moment, while after using one will begin the recharge period for another stock. Doing this makes matches feel more true to life, introducing resource management and strategy to perform some amazing comeback moments. On top of the controls, the presentation is noticeably smoother. I have yet to encounter a major(or even slight) issue with how the game runs during my 30 hours thus far, a great improvement of last year's recurring problems during every play session. Now with more match types, a greater creation suite that includes wrestlers, titles, arenas and superstars' attire, and boasting the biggest roster of wrestlers in any WWE game, this is by far my favorite WWE experience to date. Fans of the WWE will be enthralled, while newcomers looking for fun to pass the time will be pleasantly impressed.

Man, this game has a huge roster! Load times are bad which is always the case with the 2k WWE games. Also, there are some hilarious glitches. But overall a MUCH better installment than last years and still a lot of fun. More choices in my career mode and in the WWE universe add a lot.

It felt like a big match. It played like a big match. Great graphics, huge and impressive roster. Some minor glitches that need to be patched. Mangers play and act as they should. I retained the tag team gold with a well placed distraction. Just like on tv. And there are quite a few surprises for managers. I highly recommend getting the season pass or at the very least invest in the unlock everything feature. With such a huge roster and a wealth of options, this year's game should not be missed. This game has great graphics, the gear looks amazing, the crowd sounds amazing, and the game feels real. The submission system will take time to get used too for some, and the reversal system is cool and add that much needed ring drama. Go forth and buy this game, create, and make your own wrestlemania moments.

The best roster ever for a wrestling game was Smackdown! Here Comes the Pain. This years WWE 2K16 outdoes that and almost brings everyone to the table. It has plenty of new, current, and old superstars to choose from, as well as download from user creations to choose from. The new submission system and reversal features are a great improvement and adds a mini game to the game. Strategy is key and it almost gets rid of the CPU non stop reversal move which can be frustrating when going up against the top guys. The only problem I have with the game is the pacing. It feels slow when playing. Wish the pace of it would be just a little bit quicker as moves, grapples just doesn't fit with the business. Other than that get 5 other players and have a blast with all the modes and superstars in the game.

Wow! The # of superstars & divas (120+) is mind blowing. From the current crop of talent to the wrestlers of glory days gone by, this is indeed the best day one roster of all WWE games. The graphics here are superb. With the exception of a few superstars who were unable to be scanned, the men, women, & arenas all pop on screen. To all who are familiar, Universe Mode is back... as is Create a Superstar /Diva. My Career Mode is fresh & allows you to viscerally experience the journey of becoming a HOF WWE Superstar. Only issues deal with the grapple & submission mini games. Grapple can be difficult to follow, and I much rather have the 'breaking point' tapout feature. All in all, WWE 2K16 is a fun, frustrating, & exciting game. And that's the bottom line.

Solid game. Yeah, the submission systems sometime to get used to, but it's rather simple once in you get the hang of it. In fact, it becomes easier to beat the A.I. by submission than it does by pin fall on the harder levels. The graphics are not quite on par with the NBA2k16 series, but they're pretty good. The gameplay is an improvement over the previous installments as the game is more realistic. You can no longer spam the reverse button, and characters no longer pop right up after sustaining lots of damage. There are also plenty of characters to choose from... In fact, the roster has over 120 characters. There are some notable guys missing such as: Eddie Guerrero, Hulk Hogan, The Million Dollar Man, The Road Warriors and Demolition. However, most everyone else is here. While the graphics are good, and the roster is loaded... There are so disappointments. Don't get me wrong... There are plenty of match types such as: One on One, Tag Team, 6 man Tag, Iron Man, Elimination Chamber, Royal Rumble, Fatal 4 Way, Extreme Rules, Triple Threat and Submission match... I wasn't all that happy that many matches are still missing. No Gauntlet match, and no Slobberknocker match. No Casket match, Buried Alive, Triple Threat Tag Team or Backstage Brawls. You also cannot turn off submissions or count outs. And no, Match Creator is not back. As for game modes, We have Exhibition mode, MyCareer, Showcase and Universe. If you have played the WWE games from the last several years you will remember most of these modes. There really is not a lot that is new here. The gameplay is good and the roster is great, but this game is fairly flawed.

So it's been a few years since I played a WWE game and this 1 is a good welcome back point. The graphics and presentation are great although I will admit some wrestlers look identical while others look odd. The gameplay is refined but I'm still getting used to some new mechanics. The huge roster of wrestlers is impressive too. Overall I'm very pleased with it.

The roster is huge. The game modes are solid. There are a ton of things you can unlock as well playing through the different modes. Plenty of ways to interact with the game. There is Universe Mode, My Career, and also Stone Cold campaign. Lots to do and lots of fun to have. Plus if the loaded roster is missing someone, you can download a great version that someone else has created on the community. Really easy to do.

Great start to this series but i hate that it takes for ever sometimes to get up wish you could tap the buttons to make you get up also the most i hate is and i hope they patch this soon is that you have to basically use a finisher to beat A.I. even if they are on Red find a way to escape a pin but other then that fun game most def with friends

The roster look good, but some of the game play could be better or different, the new submission system doesn't quite add up to being fair, it's more a game of chance at times with the CPU getting one over on you a lot of the time, even if they've been beaten to a pulp, room for improvement overall so hopefully 2K does even better next year.

WWE 2k16 brings to the table its largest roster to date along with a completely new reversal system, making it the best WWE 2k entry to date. The showcase is really more of the same from previous years, allowing you to play through the most important matches of Stone Cold Steve Austin's career, showing real life footage between matches. It's very much worth a playthough, especially for Stone Cold fans, but if you've played the last few years' games, you know what to expect. The MyCareer mode mimics the NBA 2k series' career mode, starting you out as a rookie and allowing you to take part in post-match interviews, answering questions in a manner that you feel fits your created wrestler's personality. Character models look more realistic than last year's game, but not by so much that you'll be astonished when you see them. The best thing about this year's game is absolutely the new reversal system, which limits you to a set number of reversals (that recharge over the course of the match once used). Matches no longer become the reversal-fests that they were in previous years and now require a bit of patience and strategy to win. This slows the pace of most matches and adds drama to them, making them much more comparable to their real life counterparts. All-in-all, it's rare to see a yearly franchise make such vast improvements over a previous year's game the way WWE 2k16 does, and I can confidently recommend this to anyone considering buying it.

This game is great has a ton of wrestlers. The gameplay feels solid unlike 2k14 which was just awful. Matches start with realistic grappling and basic moves then you use your standard moves and everything is so fluid. This game is much improved. Sadly another year without any new match types to the series. Maybe one day we will have casket match and buried alive match again.

It's been years since I've enjoyed a WWE game as much as this one. It actually feels like you're playing through real matches. The roster is deep (even if it lacks some important women wrestlers) and the game modes are a blast. Playing through Stone Cold's career is a treat, and the MyCareer mode is a blast.

The roster is huge it includes a combination of current wrestlers, old school wrestlers, and some of the NXT roster. Graphics are great and the game is more realistic than 2K15. Divas look terrible. They do not look like the actual diva. Brought back many features from older versions of the game.
