I'll go ahead and speak the truth - this wasn't the best X-Men movie. You can easily tell that there was another direction they wanted to go, but had to reshoot and rewrite some elements. It's not terrible, but it's a shame that the cast had to close out with this. Anyway, PQ and AQ are good. I'd recommend for fans and for the curious, wait for a sale.

Got a good deal on this, and the 4K UHD shows excellent visual details.

I see to many people these days don't try to enjoy a movie anymore, they just nit pick at any little detail they can. And they have with this movie. But if your the kind of person that just wants a movie to Entertain you, and something you can enjoy, this will do, its not the greatest of the series, but still worth watching in my opinion...

The movie was good, but I am glad we bought it instead of in the theater. The characters were a little off and felt like it was more of a B-Movie than a movie full of A-List actors. As long as you are not expecting much, this movie doesn't leave you wanting. If you are looking for something engaging and full of action...move along.

Ok, in my humble opinion, this movie is not too bad. It’s pretty good until the final battle. Then I’m left scratching my head, given that I’ve read the original comics and know that they have great source material. Otherwise, it’s decent plot, decent acting, just disappointed that they didn’t do right by this franchise.

I went with the reg. 4K not the steelbook.. While the Steelbook cover artwork itself was nice the quality is not very good when you look at it in person. Apocalypse steelbook was much better. So I saved $5 and went with the reg. 4K. I gave it 4 stars for a combo of them blowing the Steelbook artwork quality and the movie itself.

I understand the disdain for this movie. I get it. Like, don't ask me about ep.8 in SW. But since so many different scenarios and actors have played in X-Men, I'm more prone to give it more of a pass, like the latest Terminator movie that bombed. Eh, my wife says I like bad action movies, starting to think she's right. :/

I didn’t see it and didn’t want to because I gave in into the hate like everyone else, I picked this up on Black Friday and boy oh boy was I wrong! Yeah it has a bunch of things wrong but man it was entertaining. It doesn’t really feel like an X-men movie for some reason, but it’s in the same page. Cgi is amazing.

Dark phoenix isn’t a bad film, but it isn’t a great film, either. It has as many cringe-worthy moments as it does authentic moments; not even the same actors carry the film with consistently believable acting. It’s a mixed bag. But the visuals are top-notch, and the soundtrack is one of my favorites of 2019 by Hans Zimmer. There are really powerful character moments because this film is driven by its characters, not its action. But if character dramas are not your thing, the train sequence at the end might make it worth a viewing. The steelbook is a cool collector’s item; the design is a little pixelated when viewed up close, so that should have been corrected before production. Switching the gorgeous inside images with the outside would have improved my score of the packaging, but I still am glad to add this to my collection. This product is for the die-hard X-men fan only.

Not sure why the rating so low. Maybe people are spoiled by the epic galaxy class interweaving of stories with Avengers, Thor, Aquaman, Defenders of the Galaxy, Dr Strange? Was refreshing to not have the campy silly jokes and nice to have an Xmen that wasn't focused on Wolverine. Sophie Turner was awesome.

Bought this movie after seeing it in theaters. I enjoyed it, although it wasn't the greatest film in the franchise. Acting was good, but film felt a bit rushed. Could've been better, but was still entertaining, nonetheless. Steelbook wasn't too nice, so I went with the traditional slipcover in blu-ray.

1st off the steelbook doesn’t look bad could’ve been better but no complaints there. As far as the movie goes it was way better than way critics said it was and very action packed. Looks really nice and crisp in 4K and it’s definitely worth watching especially if it’s the last one of the series.

First off love the steelbook! However if you go into this just wanting some entertainment and not expecting it to be a good xmen movie cool you'll like it. I'm a huge x-men fan and went into it with that attitude. However if you expect a great x-men story you will not like this movie one bit.

The special effects were great. It seemed strange not seeing all the characters and different people playing them, but we must move on. The next film should start to phase out some of the characters and bring new ones in like Star Trek Next Generation. I would not want to see the series end.

I know the reviews for this movie were not the best, but I used to read these comic books as a kid. In fact, I still have the #1 X-Men comic book (actually, already bequeathed to my son). Watching the movie at home on my 65" Samsung with great surround sound system was rather enjoyable.

This movie got knocked by professional critics, but if you've seen the movies that came before it, it's a "must see" since it's the last film for most of these characters. Even if you're not a fan of the plot, there are many special features on this blu ray and dazzling special effects.

The plot/writing was a bit of a letdown on this movie, as expected based on reviews, but the audio and video was great. The steel case looks cool as well. I recommend a buy if you want to test out your home theater setup, but only a rent if you are not a huge X-men fan.

I actually enjoyed this movie much better on the second viewing on 4k. It wraps up the X-Men saga before their transition to Disney. Someday I wish they would make X-Men movies that follow the comics including the Phoenix Saga. The closest we got was in the cartoon version.

Color pop the 4 k really shines. The story follow Jean grey as she evolves into the dark Phoenix. THE X-Men try to stop her from turning evil. THE latest of the x-men series tries to pull together some of the time line but to many rebuts. Fun and actioned packed packed

Good film for the fans of the franchise. Seems a bit rushed but I think Sony was in a hurry to get this story done before the license going to Disney. Would have been better if there had been one more movie leading up to this one to better develop the main characters.
