Customers are enthusiastic about Xenoblade Chronicles X's stunning graphics, fantastic gameplay, and expansive open world. Many also praised the compelling story and deep combat system, along with the extensive customization options. However, some players found the soundtrack unappealing and the text size too small. A few also mentioned challenges with the controls and the amount of time needed to level up.

The world is immersive. There is so much to do and see. The combat is standard, but fun to get used to. The characters are a little stale, but not enough to take away from the entire experience. It has an interesting story and is just beautiful to look at. Great music, too.

This game is a massive open world and just as beautiful. This game will have you playing for well over 50 hours, and the creatures are small to gigantic and you will have the chance to get you a mech or scale is what they are called in the game. This game is fun and amazing.

This game is huge. If you are used to playing something like Fallout, this is on an entirely different scale of huge.
The gameplay is excellent, the story is good, and the graphics are top notch. My only gripe is that the text is a bit small, aside from that, its perfect.

One of the most gorgeous looking games the WiiU has ever had. A huge open world to explore and TONS to do. If you are a fan of JRPGs this is exactly the game for you. Almost feels like an MMO at times. My only complaint is the lack of spoken lines by the protagonist.

Huge world to explore. Tons of playable characters, weapons and armor to customize. Plenty of treasure and areas to discover. Quests, quests, and more quests. Later in the game, you get to control your own mech. Interesting story and the music is so captivating.

While the game itself may be a little confusing, the wide world is great. The graphics are some of the best for a Wii U game, and as others online have said, it is important to read the manual before the game is played.

Welcome to the world of Xenoblade Chronicles X. A beautiful open world, Action/Role Playing game.
Here you a thrown into the world of "New Los Angeles" on the planet Mira. You are one of the last remaining survivors from the last space ship sent from earth. After you are collected, you are thrown into your new job and it goes on from here.
There are many job classes available for you to chose from and become proficient in, though you can jump around from class to class as you wish.
As you play the game you discover more areas of the planet, unlocking resources and information.
This game can be played at your own pace, closely following missions or venturing out to randomly explore.
A note. There are four download patches. They are optional, of course, but if you want the best experience you'll want to have them. Just know that if you don't have a storage expansion set up, it can easily eat up your hard drive space on your Wii U.

Two bad points about this game would be the annoyance of notes people leave online and the lack of story compared to its predecessor. Don't get me wrong, there is a story, but it felt a lot shorter. The remainder of the game is fantastic though. Beautiful environments, great party/character customization, engaging enough side-quests, gear crafting and giant robots called skells. Nothing made me feel better than finding Intergalactic gear (highest rarity), blowing stuff away, then getting rolled on by a high level monster. If you want the game to stay slightly challenging I would suggest not crafting any Ares skells, and not looking for an OP lotus build online. Overall the game was worth every cent and the 130 hours I spent playing it.

The scenery is absolutely beautiful in this massive world, full of wildlife and places to explore. The sci-fi survival story is compelling, and you can enter a giant robotic mech and fly or drive around in style!

Best Wii U Game of 2015

This is a very fun game. Combat is fun and graphics rival those of PS4 and Xbox One (you have to see it to believe it). Story is not that great but if you can look past that, this is a really well made game. I like how it utilizes the Wii U gamepad as your own transporting device and scanner for installing probes throughout the different lands and continents you'll be visiting. The game world is huge and it's an open world environment for you to explore while battling out its weird inhabitants. Fast travel between locations you have visited is available thru your gamepad screen. This is without question the best Wii U game of 2015.

I really enjoyed Xenoblade on Wii, and I enjoy this version a lot more. The story is very engaging and graphics and controls are good as well.
My only complaint would be the small text size in the game.

The game looks beautiful for a Wii U game, and it has great combat mechanics and a huge world to explore. However, the story is pretty weak and uninteresting. The side quests can get very tedious. Not as good as the original Xenoblade Chronicles.

The exploration JRPG I wanted

I have not played the original on the Wii. With that said, this is an amazing open world JRPG in terms of combat and gameplay. The combat is slow during the first few hours but increases in depth once you get more arts/skills and invest points in them. The open world is very beautiful and more often than not you will find yourself just exploring the land to take in the views.
The game is not without fault though. Some of the prominent ones are a lackluster story, enemy pop-ins even with the data packs installed, and bad sound mixing during cutscenes. However, despite these flaws, the world and combat is immensely satisfying, which keeps me coming back for more.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is JRPG that has a heavy focus on exploration. With a seamless 400 sq km world, XCX is bigger than Skyrim, Fallout 4, and Witcher 3 combined. Not to say that a bigger world = a better game, but for anyone that enjoys open world games, Xenoblade Chronicles X has a lot to offer.
There's plenty to do; whether you just want to complete the main story, or if you want to get all of the achievements, you won't be dissatisfied.
Overall, I'd recommend this game to anyone that likes: Exploration, grinding, missions/quests, deep combat systems, and piloting giant robots.
If you dislike most or all of the above, I would not recommend this game.

I could gush about this game forever, but I'll stick to highlights.
This game is gorgeous, this game is smooth, this game is exciting and fun. Everything is a treat to look out, the soundtrack is varied and sets the tone perfectly. It's a blast to play, with a lot of weapon types and classes to mess with. Missions are everywhere you look, but you can skip on them too in favor of just exploring every inch of the vibrant planet Mira.
And things really open up once you get your first skell.
My thoughts aren't all too organized on this one just because I want to talk about EVERYTHING that I love, but really, you should just buy it and see for yourself.

Xenoblade Chronicles X will not disappoint you I promise. The story is great and the graphics are so beautiful that you must see for your own self. This is the game you must own for the Wii U. I have played Xenoblade Chronicles on the 3DS was very excited to play this one. Only thing that disappointed me was that your character doesn't really talk! he just nods his head which sucks! but they will give you a choice to have a voice in character customization but that's just for moaning and panting and stuff but don't let this keep you from trying this game out its fun!

First off, this game is really prety. The draw distance is so far you can see prominent landmarks on distant continents. Charater, creatures, and environmental textures are all very clean.
The game play is the more common mmo action combat through a real time environment. Unfortunately that means that during an intense fight, something uber could wander in and wipe the party unexpectedly.
The story starts off at a snails pace, introducing some game mechanics, and ignoring others. Once it opens up 3-4 hours later you'll be able to really enjoy the adventure, even if the plot is tired at worst.
Quick warning the music range from appropriately epic, to ear gouging annoying.
