Customers are saying

Customers love the AMD Radeon RX Vega 56's performance and GPU, citing excellent performance in many games, even at high resolutions. However, some users experienced high temperatures and noticeable fan noise, while others noted high power consumption and occasional clock speed instability. Concerns were also raised regarding the memory modules used in some versions. Despite these drawbacks, many found the card's performance to be a worthwhile upgrade.

I love my graphics card, it works perfectly with my razer core egpu and if you can score it for under 400 I think its a easy sell for me.

XFX always mad great GPU's previous but went through 4 of these. 3 of them didn't work at all or shutdown shortly after coming on and the last one was bent in half and actually did work. Never will I look at the XFX brand when shopping

Needs some TLC - but will work amazingly!

This card is a wonderful value (if purchasing at $370 or lower) - but it is VERY power hungry, unless you know what you are doing. This card is mostly quiet and works very well with new games, but as with most PC-related technology, quite a bit of tweaking is needed to extract the maximum potential. At default on latest AMD 'Adrenalin' drivers, it is at 'Balanced' which essentially limits the card, and does no favors in regards to power draw or fan noise. I highly suggest, at the very least, that you use the 'Auto Undervolt' option under the AMD Drivers Menu. This will allow the card to run quietly and quickly under load. To really push the limits (and not the fans or outlet!) look online for enthusiast groups to get guidance on settings to really make this card scream! If you doubt it's power, watch some recent videos on 'Hardware Unboxed' or 'Gamer's Nexus' or the like, to get the skinny on this beast! In some cases, it is contending with (or even beating!) the $700 MSRP NVidia RTX 2080. TL;DR: Not so great out-of-box - Awesome if you are willing to put in some work into optimizing it.

    Disappointed

I got this card looking at the design. XFX seems to have fixed the temp issues, but the card has some serious random issues. You game and the fans spin to 80%. Large whining noise sometimes before the game starts and then the fans just automatically go full speed. I mean the temp is in the 50s why the heck is it going to full speed. It is very random. On top I saw the same problem as someone else here the card will downclock to idle clocks while gaming you can feel the game just slow down and stutter. This was random too. Now to third issue! The fans going full speed when you wake up the computer and no display. Sometimes even on desktop fans would ramp up and screen will go black and it meant its time to restart. I am going to return this and get an rx 580, I have another rx 580 and that one has been stable as heck. I don't game much but this card is just not worth the trouble. I think something is seriously up with this card, it may be the shorter PCB design that xfx just didn't get right.

I was pumped when I saw these pop up for sale, waited with baited breath for them to arrive and the genuine excitement of popping in 2x of these cards washed over me in an awesome wave. Then reality set in - Hyinx memory, unable to flash bios and they're the hottest-running cards I'd ever seen. The 56 can be a beast but stay well-clear of these. To Best Buy's credit they did accept the return no questions asked. Since then I scored a couple 1080TI and couldn't be happier. They'll be underwater in about 2 weeks!

    Excellent Graphic Card

Excellent card, seeing some reviews I soon thought of giving up, but I decided to give it a try, and then I saw that it is a high quality card, better than the RX 580, and I have no problem so far, I did not buy it to use in Games, but for Video Edition and I can say by what I see, this is the best card I've ever had, and it looks like I already had the Nvidia GTX 1080, which loses to performance and quality. Good work XFX.

Ive had this card for a number of years, atleast 4 at this point. Card still runs great, but it is starting to showing its age. Still runs games in VR great, and games like DOOM Eternal just fine for hours, on 1440p and high graphics settings. Definitely recommend running AMDs software suite to adjust the fan speeds though.

I've been able to play my PC games in 4k without any issues with this card. Destiny 2, Wolfenstein, Overwatch. Just solid FPS. My only complaint is the higher GPU prices at the moment, but that's all graphics cards, not just this model.
