Great if you can get it on sale
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked mine up for $999. At that price i think it is fantastic value. So far I’ve had no issues worh drivers or performance. This thhing goes head to head and most of the times beats the 4080 for much less money. Make sure to use DDU to wipe all old drivers before jnstalling a new GPU.

Good product

Neglect, bent PCIe bracket
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price and rarity at finding a gpu i decided to settle with purchasing this 7900 xt instead of the xtx. Sadly, when I received the item in what appeared to be a pristine package. I was appalled to have opened the box only to find a gpu with a bent PCIe bracket almost at a 45 degree angle. This assumes the GPU bracket was bent during manufacturing and is inexcusable and should have never been shipped at all.

As fast or faster than the 3090 TI and 4070 TI
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: I got this card for about $800 or $823 after tax and Best Buy Reward points. Over priced? Maybe, I paid $700 my AMD 6700 XT and $680 for my old RTX 2070 OC edition. This card for $100 more is twice as fast than both of my old cards. Is it 4K60? Most games yeah but with little headroom above 60. You still might have to turn shadows to medium, or volumetric to high at 4K. Now this card can overlock like nobodies business. You can hit RTX 4080 base close performance at 1440P with this card OC. I can hit 3.15GHZ on the core, 2700 GHZ on memory while using 1057 MAH and power limit 14. Your card will draw about 400 watts, or more like 380-400 at these settings so make sure your PSW can handle it. Cons: Ray Tracing performance slots between RTX 3080, and RTX 3080 TI. This is a mismatch because rasterization performance is on par or faster than the RTX 3090 and 4070 TI. You can do 4k60 with RT or or something close with those cards. The 7900XT is more like 3072X1728P with RT on if the game does not support FSR2. 2nd issue is the noise. Make sure you set your fan curve to about 62%. Default settings when the card spins up is unbearable. The tradeoff is your junction temperature raises to 80C rather than 74C or so. Conclusion: Solid card when consider the prices of the GPUS the last two year. Now pre Covid, it's bad value, but considering slower cards like the 6950 XT, 4070 TI, RTX 3090 can cost as much as this card new, I think it's reasonable. Still some AMD issues with RT, but considering it's just a notch below the RTX 3080 TI which was considered to have decent RT, it's a win.

Excellent GPU
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great GPU overall. Pricing WILL eventually get better so if you don't need this level of performance keep waiting. If you do, you can definitely do worse than a 7900XT. This XFX model in particular is VERY long so make sure your case can accommodate... I could fit my card but not the anti-sag bracket so I made my own improvised GPU support since I couldn't use the included one without hitting my radiator. Definitely set your own custom fan curve... the GPU runs cool so no reason to suffer loudness at the overly aggressive stock profile. I have mine max out at 50% and temps basically stay under 70C hotspot. I game at 1440p 240Hz so for me optimal settings mean for some games I enable Radeon Chill to target 120-240 FPS. This means I stay well within the VRR of my monitor and enjoy buttery smooth gameplay while running very efficiently as some games average around 120W power consumption to hit this FPS target. Speaking of power consumption... idle power consumption can be a problem with some monitor configurations. I originally had two high refresh rate monitors hooked up and noticed idle power draw north of 50W. YMMV. My fix was lowering the refresh rate on the secondary monitor (which isn't used for gaming anyways) to 60Hz. I also tried running it off iGPU which made little to no difference. True idle is now closer to 20W despite the 240Hz 1440p primary display.

Powerful, but some issues
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is powerful enough to run any modern game, and is probably very future-proof....assuming it last that long. Install was easier than the Nvidia cards I've always used (this is my first AMD card). Their software is much better and has a lot less of the ads and other bloatware. The card will play just about everything at extreme settings in 4k. On the bad side: 1. It's big, but all cards are these days. 2. It's loud! VERY loud. The fans also have this annoying, grinding sound to them. 3. The card will suddenly crash in some circumstances, which leads me to worry about the longevity of the card. I play Total War: Warhammer III a lot, and I have to be careful not to alt-tab with this card, because it causes the GPU to shut down and the system switches to the integrated graphics processing. Requires a system reboot to fix. Overall, it's a great card, and the crashes have become less frequent. I just don't know that it's worth the $900 they are asking for right now. I caught it on sale for $850, and I feel a little better about that price.

Great card, poor antisag solution.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great card and performs incredibly well. I had no noticable whine with it and it stayed cool. The card is beefy and has a premium feel to it. The main thing I could add is that the anti sag bracket design is pretty horrible. This is already an incredibly massive card for a 7900xt so it is unfortunate that they chose an anti sag bracket that extends another inch or so past the card. The card fit well in my case, which is by no means small but the anti sag extends so far off of the card that it wouldn't fit. To be clear I'm sure that the antisag works great if you have the space it's just my opinion that if you already made an extremely long card you should choose a bracket that doesn't push the length requirements much further.

Great card, not for RT
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great card, as long as you don't want raytracing. I bought this card because it was the best air-cooled card available that would fit in my case. If it was 1mm longer (as I've heard the XTX cards are) it would not fit. It runs everything @ 4k high-ultra above 60fps as long as you have RT off. I would say, if you have the space and the extra $100, the better value is the XTX card. Especially if you have a monitor with a refresh rate higher than 60hz and want the extra refresh speed.

Excellent card, but just get the 7900XTX instead
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the money it's a really good card, especially compared to the price and performance of a 6900XT. There isn't a dramatic difference between this and the last gen's flagship card but it benefits greatly from an undervolt and VRAM overclock. It's much more energy and heat efficient, if that's a concern, as the 6900XT was a mini room heater and this is far more tame as far as heat output goes. If you can throw the extra money at the 7900XTX, I would actually just get that instead, because you do get a solid bump in performance for about 200 bucks more. Otherwise, it performs very well on maxed out games at 1440p, just don't expect it to do ray tracing very well.

Go AMD!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Phenomenal GPU, upgraded from a 1080ti. Runs every game I throw at it at 4k 60fps+ maxed settings. It can do ray tracing too, performance takes a hit ( Elden Ring runs at about 60FPS @4k maxed settings w/ RT ) depending on the game, but I don't care for RT in its current stages of development. Probably one of the better higher end GPU's for the price. You actually get VRAM too so you aren't forced into planned obsolescence like you would be with a certain other brand...

AMD drivers are better than Nvidia?!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay I had nothing but software issues with my old ASUS GTX 1070 but AMD Adrenaline is beautiful and has all the functionality you need in a single application rather than needing drivers AND board partner software. It's not perfect and many game devs still treat non Nvidia cards as an afterthought, I feel bad for the ARC owners out there as they have it worse, but overall this thing is really good for under $1000 and that is a line in the sand I hope I never have to cross, no GPU is worth $1000.

Good GPU but a little confusing
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great GPU. However... It's kind of like ... why does it exist? The XTX is like a hundred bucks more and has more VRAM and is a bit faster. Might as well get the XTX. That's what I was thinking the entire time i had this card. I ended up getting the XTX and selling this one. Every time i played a game all I could think is why didn't i just pay a little more. That said, it's a very solid GPU and handles all games well. I ran this at 3440x1440 with FSR 2.1 on Cyberpunk with Ultra / Raytracing on and was managing around 70 FPS. Not bad. (XTX gets like 115)

Awesome Graphic Card
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Speed. Glad I switched to AMD. Been a long time Nvidia owner. AMD is just as good as nvidia, only cheaper. Needs work with Ray Tracing. But I believe future drivers will solve that issue.

Hello 7900 XT!!! - A Welcome Upgrade
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I shopped around the past few months for a new graphics card, intent on taking advantage of holiday sales. I've only ever had Nvidia cards, upgrading from a 1060 3GB, so I was originally going to upgrade to a 3080 or a 3080 Ti. As time went on I found Nvidia's pricing to be quite daunting, but the 3000 series had a decent ray tracing and DLSS advantage over the AMD 6000's so I was torn. I never found a sale I liked on the higher end RTX cards, and the sales on AMD's cards were mounting up. I almost bought a 6900 XT, but I didn't want to have to buy another card for many years, or something like 3-4 new generations. Then the 7900 XT came along with improved ray tracing and a DLSS equivalent and it seemed perfect! It's still a little pricey for me, but I'm hoping it will last. Pros: Fast, very fast, Ultra 1440p 144 fps tyvm. Completely new experience compared to the 1060 3GB, bless its soul. It's long, but if you have room, the Z bracket it comes with seems like it would do a good job; better than any other. Unfortunately, it takes another inch or so to install and I think there are a lot of cases that this long boy struggles to fit in already. I purchased a little adjustable GPU brace delivering ASAP because the card does sag significantly. without support. Seems sturdy and good quality. Time will tell. I've been pleasantly surprised by AMD's Adrenaline software. I prefer it over the GeForce Experience that I was running before, but it may come down to personal preference. Adrenaline gives nice detailed graphs and overlays if you want them, but I'm not sure what software Nvidia offers on their newer cards so I can't compare that. Nice packaging, though the outer shell came slightly ripped :'( They got it to me in 2 days so I can't really complain. Cons: I imagine most people will need to buy a different support brace, the sag is not good, and as mentioned, the additional length of the Z bracket is a bit too much. I've heard rumors of manufacturing issues using A0 silicon that has stepping issues. Hoping that's not the case, don't want to buy a walker for it on top of the new brace. I just installed the card tonight. I'm hoping it will continue to amaze me as much as it has already for many years to come. I had to sprinkle some dust on it to make it fit in with the rest of my build, it was looking too sleek. So far I'm very happy with my decision.

Wonderful GPU
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is a beast of a gpu allowing me to run graphically demanding games at high framerates with no lag or drops in fps. Plus it’s cheaper than a 4090 for it being the AMD equivalent, also love the Z Bar that came with it making it so that it won’t damage your motherboard at all. All in all this wonderful thing is a powerhouse for a couple hundred dollars less than its competitors would definitely recommend.

Great card but did need to buy a new case.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first AMD card in 15 years. And am not disappointed, Am loving the way AMD renders color and game detail. Card is running cool and silent. Maybe overkill for the games i play as there all running 300+ FPS on 1440p. I'm thinking 4K will be no problem. Arrived safely in a plain box in two days.
