Yakuza is an awesome series with great gameplay and iconic characters. Kiwami is a remaster of the first yakuza game and it's a ton of fun!

This cant really count as a remaster as it is a remake. They remade the game from the ground up and added new elements that werent originally present in Yakuza 1.

I started with Yakuza 6, but really wanted to know more of the story. This game has not disappointed. Kyru at a his best. A fun ride and lots of twists.

I haven't played the original in nearly ten years, but this is a very faithful remake from my recollection. This series isn't for everyone, but this is an affordable way to see if it clicks with you. The combat system isn't as in-depth as combat-heavy games designed in recent years, including recent entries in the Yakuza series. If you love this, move on to Kiwami 2. If not, try Yakuza 0 anyway.
