I was looking for something new to try and had heard good things about the Yakuza series. I picked this up on a whim, and I’m glad I did. While the environmental graphics are dated, the player models and animations are very nice. That and while it is voiced in Japanese, requiring most to read subtitles, you can tell the voice acting is top notch. You really feel the emotion in their voices. I’m now hooked on the series and Kiryu is only second to Link as my favorite video game personality.

What else can’t be said about this amazing game? I have completed the story and I am only 21.6% complete! There are so many things to do it’s almost overwhelming. The combat is over the top and awesome, the story is a little melodramatic but it’s h so very good. If you have never played a Yakuza game before get this now.

Its GTA but with a Japanese twist! If you are new to this series then give Yakuza 0 a shot. You will not be disappointed!

I didn't get the chance to play the original on ps2 so being able play this one and it still be amazing, blew my mind.

At this price, this game is a steal. The steelbook looks amazing and the game itself is just as you'd expect from a Yakuza remaster. They've polished the game since its initial PS2 release and it looks awesome on the big screen. Highly recommend for beginners and older fans alike. Buy this now and support the franchise!

This games story line picks up before the first game I bought. I'm really glad I purchased it. Highly recommend it

This game is a remake of the original Yakuza game, on modern hardware. With this and the second release due later this summer, these are essential to understand the story behind the newer games like Yakuza 0 and Yakuza 6. This game is cheap, this game is good, and it comes with a steelbook to boot as well.

This is how remakes should be. A full-scale remaster. An amazing game for anyone that's a fan of Japanese culture.

This game is somewhat similar to the GTA games where it's an open world, but it relies more on brawling and it's more story driven. If you enjoyed Shen-Mue from the Dreamcast days, then you'll love this game because it's the same developers. The steelbook is a nice touch as well, with great artwork.

Really great remaster of Yakuza 1, if you got into Yakuza 0, check this out, its amazing and was only $30!

So much to do in the yakuza games. Brutal kombat and Plentiful amount of activities. Loving this series

My copy is still sealed but the Yakuza series has never failed to disappoint in the over the top action.

This game is amazing. I reccomend to play Yakuza 0 first before this game to introduce the series. The Steelbook is amazing and by now totally worth it since the prices are about the same as the game by itself. I would reccomend this to anyone who likes fighting games or anime.

A lot of people don’t even know what kinda game this is but it’s basicaly a Chinese mafia game I love it

Great beat-em up game with rpg elements. Plenty of minigames and side missions as well as a good story.

I took a gamble on this game during the holiday season and I have been very impressed by the overall story and gameplay. This title was not previously known to me but since I have had a chance to play this very entertaining entry I am looking forward to playing additional Yakuza titles.
