My family room and adjacent kitchen are approx 40X 30ft and have vaulted ceiling so I was unsure if this unit was going to be enough for us. I would give it 5 stars for Value and for aren't "sound geeks" I think it great. Plenty of volume and clarity with some nice functionally that isn't too complicated. I connect it to a monoprice 100 w speaker set and had to manually dial down the base (which I considered a good thing). Additionally, I connected to my in-ceiling speaker and the surround sound was so good it would freak the dog out.

I was looking for a new receiver for my outdoor projector set up & was recommended this by a sales associate & have been very happy i did take his suggestion.

The instructions were easy to follow. I have everything in through this thing. Cameras, PlayStation, Xbox, DirecTV, and even a Blu-ray player. It's the bomb

My first choice was a Yamaha CD player. The 5 disc turntable sold me. Price was expected to be high yet it is reasonable considering it is a yamaha.

Sound quality is amazing over the all in one system we had prior! Highly recommend this brand if your looking for quality sound for home theater!

Bought this when my older model quit after fifteen years. Easy to hook up, I have a smart tv, blue ray, Xbox and love the Bluetooth feature.

More than enough for a 5.1, sounds great even for music. For the price it is the best, pre-amp yes we know it is missing. Great Product.

Haven’t owned a receiver since 90’s and wow they’ve advanced. Using this receiver for a home theatre and I’m very please so far.

I've owned a Sony receiver for years, but was having probloms with it. You had your receivers on sale at the time and I had heard good things about the Yamaha brand so I thought I would try it. I'm so happy I went with my thoughts. It made it so much easy to hook up all other components. It also helps the sound of my system.

Sounds better than my old Denon and the picture looks better too. It has a lot more features. The one I love the most is being able to finally use Bluetooth headphones with my home theater. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. Now I can blast the sound on movies at 2 AM and not have to deal with complaints from anyone. This is awesome.

We had someone come by to install it and hook it up to our tv and it didn’t take them very long. My only complaint really is that when I tried to program it to my cable company provided universal remote, it won’t turn on/off in sequence with the tv and top box. The coolest feature is the Bluetooth connection. Pretty easy to set up with your phone and play music through your sound system.

We have everything ran thru the surround sound! Dish, xbox, blue ray player, makes control easy! And sounds fantastic!

Does a great job of upscaling 1080p content to 4k! Sounds great, and it's packed with features for a lower-end 4k capable receiver. The only thing that would improve it for me would be Dolby Atmos support, but don't have the room, or extra speakers to make us of it properly at the moment.

Very nice 5.1 receiver for the money. It has a ton of options/settings, so you can really have a lot of fun with it. I'm usually a Sony guy for my receiver, so needless to say, I was quite impressed with what Yamaha has to offer for such a good price. Highly recommended.

This product remains on the low end for a similarly specced reciever, but im hard pressed to think of a way that may have held it back. 4k/hdr passthrough: check Bluetooth: check A plethora of input types: check Beautiful sound with minimal distortion: check The only receivers that hold a candle to yamaha are maybe sony

This receiver got great reviews, it was the one from cnet that won me over. I have had this now for 2 months and I couldn't be happier. It controls my home theater with absolutely no glitches. 4k in 4k out to my Oled C7P and my sound and picture are amazing!

This receiver is a gem. Set up is easy and fine tuning to your space and set up is facilitated by the YPAO feature. Sound quality is great. I’m very happy with this product. Much more solid than some others I have had. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

This is our second Yamaha receiver. Very easy setup, great price at Best Buy.

Works well. We have it inside house and works also on our patio speakers.
