I bought this receiver for my basement theatre setup. I've got an HD projector. I run everything, cable, DVD, BlueRay, XBOX, Amazon Fire Stick, etc... through this stereo so we have full surround with the giant screen. It's awesome!

This is a quality receiver. It met all the requirements for a surround sound receiver for my needs.

A must have for 4K TVs. Easy to set up. Plus audio sync capable.

I had to replace a Yamaha receiver due to a lightning strike at my home. Because I was so satisfied with my old receiver, I decided to stay with Yamaha. This unit is excellent! Good power and easy to use. No problems so far.

Nice Reciever, lots of input options and great sound. Have it hooked up with 2 feont tower speakers, a center speaker, 2 rear Speakers and a Sub. Works great.!! And lots of power. Cant go wrong with Yamaha quality

Does what it suppose to do and gives good sound out of my outdoor Yamaha speakers.

Fairly easy to set-up and make the required connections. I use it as part of my TV theater system and pass thru the video feed to the TV. Good sound and easy to control. I thought is was a little expensive but I could not find a better price anywhere.

Yamaha puts out the volume. It's not loud it's clear and crisp and clean. Having surround sound at normal level is very important to me and this head unit does just that.

Great receiver if you want to connect several 4K boxes to surround sound. I have it hooked up with a TCL P605, an Xbox One X, PS4 Pro and Switch. No issues whatsoever.

I bought this unit to replace a Sony receiver and I am so glad I did. This produces sound quality better than any other unit in or even near its price range. This is well worth the price.

Love this receiver. I had a Sony that worked well for 9 years and then it went out. Bought this one and couldn't be happier with the sound. I have 5 speaker and 1 sub and love the way it sounds. Only gripe is the remote is not a universal remote. Would love to run my tv, cable box from this one.

The separation of sounds was fantastic. The best course for making adjustments for all speakers seem to be best suited to a manual mode. Once I had everything adjusted correctly for each speaker for my needs, everything was super.

I have always liked Yamaha receivers. I only needed a 5.1, and was happy to see a quality yet affordable unit with loads of features.

Has all the features I was looking for in a surround system for my new 4K television. It was able to accommodate all my extra accessories and have am/fm stereo accessible.

I have a 5.1 theater configuration with a 4K TV. Setting up this Yamaha receiver was simple. I made the connections to the speakers, the subwoofer pre-out, and the HDMI cables. I ran the speaker optimization, and I was done. The menu for the receiver appears as a transparent overlay to whatever is on the TV screen. So I can make adjustments at any time and immediately hear the results. And the configurations and controls are refreshingly intuitive. Sound reproduction is terrific, just as I'd expected. It's easy to recommend this Yamaha receiver to anyone with a relatively basic home theater like me.
