Definite upgrade to my surround system! Only complaint is did not come with any real literature on fine tuning the system instead you get an app with no instructions still on how to set system up. Had to google and read other forums on how to set it up. Still some features not sure about but great sound.

Old receiver outputs began failing one after the other, started looking at different receivers and the 583 was where I went, once I got my system rearranged for the hdmi in/out and went through the manual to familiarize myself with the the different options, I was thoroughly impressed with how good it sounds.

I purchased this receiver open box. However, it has turned out to be an outstanding receiver. It connected easily and quickly. Using HDMI Arc is a great time saver. The sound is top notch. I would recommend this brand receiver to anyone.

This receiver is great. Sound quality and power output is just what I needed. Size is great as well for a receiver with so much functionality. Yamaha is a brand you can trust with most things and this is no exception. Great product.

The speakers are attractive sounds great the receiver is powerful has all the features that I wanted plus the Bluetooth rear speaker device was wonderful I'm very satisfied with my purchase

We love this receiver, the only bad thing is that it gets hot on top making it diffcult to stack components.

The Yamaha received met all my needs. It is easy to connect to my iPhone. The Yamaha app makes it easy to play music or watch tv. This receiver is a great bargain for the price. A must buy.

Great unit for the money everything u need in a receiver

I upgrade from a fairly high-end but older receiver that need upgraded for HDMI cabling. Took me about 30 minutes to get this wired and setup. I really like the microphone setup option to help with calibrating the speakers to my room. The smartphone app is also great allowing so much customization that you could do with remote. Sound is really good, dialogue in movie are some much clearer, I believe there is an enhancer setting for this too. 5.1 sounds great on movies, haven't tried music yet. It has wireless, but I am using wired for all my entertainment gear. Have not used the Bluetooth, music cast and apps but will probably use it soon.

This reciever very works well with all of my new tech.

WiFi, Bluetooth, app control MusicCast. Modern receiver/amp with all the lastest bells and whistles. Easy to use. Love Yamaha sound systems. Pairs great with Klipsch bookshelf speakers and 10 inch WiFi sub.

This does almost everything I need right now. Enough hdmi inputs, 4k ready, with wireless connection. I only have a 5.1 system so this works great. My wireless connection does disconnect sometimes but I'm not sure if it's my network or the receiver.

This system is something I want looking for it’s easy to set up and works great. It has just about everything you need. With out the high price.

The salesperson spent an hour with me going over every detail of available receivers. He gave complete instructions on how to hook up the other components. This was extremely helpful.

My kids broke my old receiver so I purchased this as a replacement. Easy to set up, great power and great sound. Definitely reccomend!

Perfect for my great room with it's 5 speaker surround sound. Quality tone and user friendly.

Replaced a working Yamaha (sent it to one of our sons). Has features the older model did not. Love Musicast. Too bad they do not also add a Windows app. Handles digtal switching well. Easy set up. Only drawback so far is harder to get the best sound using their programs. On older receiver we had fewer programs, but it was easy to find one that made all the Music sound great. Now we have 3 times as many choices, but it seems we need to keep changing them for various CDs and MP3s. Will keep playing with it to see if we can find something that works.

Love the quality. Works as designed and much more powerful and functional than the Yamaha it replaced

The unit has good power, sound and quality. Easy to hook up and has enough inputs and connections for a sound system, e,g, sub woofer, etc.
