This receiver was extremely easy to install and setup. The instructions were very clear and Yamaha continues with high quality products. I was able to program this into my Logitech universal remote with ease. The initial setup informed me that a software update was needed. The receiver did that seamlessly with no issues. This replaces a 1997 Pioneer receiver that I loved. I can right away I will be equally happy with this Yamaha receiver.

I have this setup to feed roku, 4k video player and cable box to TV. Works good for all that, but seems that I have not been able to have the box startup where it left off. The sound select keeps changing when I turn it on. Probably me not setting it up right, but should be easier to use. I have it connected to my home network and that works well too. Blue tooth connects to phone and Ipod touch for streaming music. I have had Yamaha receivers for years, they are great.

I'm upgrading from another Yamaha receiver. Love the brand. Easy to install. Great performance in it's category of receivers this price.

This is an upgrade to the receiver I had when I got married. The buttons went on the old one. This is a Christmas gift, haven’t had the time to play with it yet.

My 30 year old Sony stereo system finally took a dump. The salesman at Best Buy really took the time and gave me the skinny on all of the Home Theatre Receivers in the store. I had no experience with home theatre receivers. Based on my needs, this unit appeared to be the best fit. It also happened to be on sale. Bonus! The unit has been working great! Happy with the purchase.

Got this to replace an old Sony that I blew up using too many big speakers. The Yamaha has all the connections I wanted, plenty of power, and more features than I needed. My only disappointment is with the turntable connection. My turntable done not have a preamp and the receiver causes an annoying hum when the volume is cranked up high enough to hear the music being played.

I am very pleased. I replaced two units, a 1980's receiver and tuner, with the Yamaha, and gained many innovations, made space in my cabinet for other uses, and now I can run my SMART TV, my CD player, and my Blue Tooth compatible smart phone through the Yamaha using my old speakers, getting great sound for my study. The remote is useful. The set up was easy.

Needed to replace an old Kenwood receiver and this was recommended. Looks like it will work out fine.

Had a 5.1 channel surround installed and bought this receiver to go with it. Works very well. I am not going to be blowing out the neighborhood or anything but plenty of volume for music and watching movies. Connection to devices is simple so we play off of our iPhones and iPad. The HDMI input/output lets me easily connect my AppleTV to my 4K TV.

Yamaha has always been my choice. It's top of the line. Only reason I bought this one was because my old Yamaha didnt have the USB or Bluetooth. My old Yamaha orks fine for being 8 years old. I just wanted the modern version.
