Took back a Sony similar amplifier which just did not do the job I thought it should have. Got the Yamaha one, little bit more in price but not enough to worry about, but the output on Yamaha so much better it is worth every penny. I have always had Yamaha for the most part. Can't go wrong.

This item is a very very good item it was worth buying I upgraded my music system I will recommend it to anyone family members friends etc. I also had coworker went and purchased one and she enjoys it worthwhile thank you and I love being a part of Best Buy organization .

I've been using Yamaha AV Receivers for years and have always been pleased with their sound and quality. Nice to have networking capabilities for Spotify (which allows me to control my music from my office PC to the connected receiver on the network) as well as MusicCast wireless speakers which I have throughout the house.

Nice system for the money- easy to hook up-nice sound

A great receiver. Does everything my old receiver did, but now it's all computerized AND has HDMI switching. Lacks phono pre-amp, but I bought one and my turntable works as it always has. HDMI pass-through works as advertised.

Lots of options for sound variety, easy to set up and use

its got a pretty simple interface. easy to set up.. not as may options on the back as the older version. Its a little thicker than the old version. watch for that if you have a tight space. Music control and app feature is kind of pointless. its compatible with apple so why try and add more complexity. Maybe do with another couple HDMI ports. DVD, TV, Apple TV, Cable Box and your done.. no good if your one of those buffs that don't want to do subscriptions and have multiple media access boxes

This receiver is fabulous for exactly what I needed.

I was just looking for a new receiver for my new Samsung SUHD. This is a beautiful receiver as it was easy for to adjust to my room audio needs with the YPAO. Picture was fabulous! Not sure about the MusicCast as there seems to be limited wireless speakers for this setup.

many advanced features great to match with a 4k tv

Easy to install. Wireless radio is a challenge to get working. Receiver automatically starts up whatever is turned on first. For instance, if dvd player is on but TV/ satellite isn't and you turn on your TV the receiver will automatically pull from the dvd player causing you to have to change input on remote. Not a big deal if the first time you changed it to satellite it stayed on satellite but receiver kicks it back to dvd player.

Great value for the money. Easy set up and great sound.

This is a great reciever for my home. Love that it connects to my LAN and I can access my AV library. Also pulls in internet radio stations from the world. Great sound output for stereo and surround movies too!! Would definitely buy again.

The unit had great sound but I ended up going with a more connected (chromecast built-in and 7.2 ready) and more future proof device.
