Great receiver for a great price. Does everything I need and want. Many inputs to handle all my components. Sounds amazing with my klipsch speakers.

Yamaha is usually a great performer and this receiver is no exception. The 4K UHD and 3D pass-thru work as advertised. As with other providers, the only operating manual is on-line, a disadvantage in my opinion.

Had ONKYO receiver fail. Yamaha satisfactory replacement plus MusicCast wireless capability. Set one receiver up with wireless speaker at friends house. Works really well. Cheaper than Sonos.

Love the sound from this receiver, but too many bells and whistles for an average person (me) to deal with. Sure, I know how everything is supposed to connect, but I have no doubt I'm not even close to getting max experience with all the special adjustment directions that I can't even begin to do...may have Geek Squad come out to optimize my experience.

Works great. The phone app is a little confusing but nice when you keep losing the remote. Lots of places to connect your devices which is great because we have a lot of gaming systems.

... and always will. Not only does it have all the 'bells and whistles' I wanted, it's the smallest of the ones I was considering. Granted, it was more than my original choice (which is why I chose it originally) but it's worth the difference.

Liked this product because it is easy to use and has the ability to use bluthtooth for music and a USB cord. Both were a must for me and this was not going to break my bank account.

This is our second Yamaha receiver. The quality, sound output, and 4K upgrade is awesome. We do use a TV counsel so just make sure the height of the unit fits since newer TV counsels don't take in account the larger height for this reciever.

We only use this with a tv, dvd, cd player, and two speakers hooked up to it so I don't know how it is with surround sound and other devices. As far as we use it, though, it works well although it is more cumbersome with an extra remote to work with now. It was pretty easy to set-up for someone with a little experience in connecting devices.

Not quite finished installing this beauty. Summertime jobs and vacation completed. I now can attach the FM antenna to the roof and tweak the Harmony remote to the system. Crystal clear picture and simplification of one ARC HMDI cable makes this a gem.

Great product I use it for my outdoor sound for around the pool. Works great!!! Being outside and not seeing any extra wear from the outdoor weathering says quality.

Easy to setup and powerful. 4 HDMI ports all can handle 4K HDR. Wish they could enable Dolby Vision, but this model doesn't pass DV.

    Good Receiver - One Caution

Good Receiver, WiFi easy to connect, Pass -through very good (challenge on some receivers). One caution and it is a big one based on your speaker system. There is no audio line out, only speaker output. If you happen to have a speaker system that requires line input, RCA connectors (some Bose systems) the receiver will not provide output to the speakers.

I wanted to love this receiver, but....

This receiver had everything I wanted and more. A ton of HDMI inputs, TWO outputs (perfect for my basement man cave!), network connectivity, streaming music, etc. Perfect for me since I was upgrading everything to 4K. After two attempts (I returned it thinking it might be defective) to integrate this into my new home system I just could not get the 4K video to work consistently with my new 4K LG TV, 4K LG Blu-Ray, gaming consoles, and Xfinity cable box. I replaced EVERY HDMI cable, used every troubleshooting website, blog, manual I could find. I was about to pay GEEK SQUAD to come out and troubleshoot, but on a whim, I decided to try another 4K receiver.... and it worked! I just chalked it up to a compatibility issue (hence four stars) unique to my set-up. And since it was easier to replace the receiver than my TV (the only thing I didn't replace) I kept the other brand of receiver. It really is a great receiver with a very easy to use, intuitive interface ( I temporarily set it up right in front of the TV when I was testing cables). I loved it.... just wish I could get it to work for my needs.

Better than the Denon it replaced (so far).

As long as it doesn't lose sound on the DVD setting like the junk Denon I replaced with it with, I'll be happy. It is simpler and has at least equivalent sound quality for a fraction of the cost.

the initial setup is easy to follow and the hdmi configuration is great. My test DVD (another source) worked well and I was able to adjust the surround aspects easily
