Spent weeks researching receivers to go with my Harmon Kardon HKTS 16 surround sound system that wouldn't break the bank. Found this guy on clearance and had everything I was looking for and more. The display is a little dated but not a big deal to me. Supports 4k passthrough, its hdcp 2.2 compliant and also has wifi capability. Easy setup and it was smart enough to rename one of my HDMI inputs to SHIELD by it self as its hooked up to my Nvidia Shield TV. I have yet to figure out a way to get sound from my OTA antenna though without hooking up a SPDIF audio cable from the TV to the receiver. Lastly, this receiver can be controlled through Yamaha's AV Controller app. It lets you control everything via WiFi so one less remote needed.

I wasn't looking at this model at first, but then saw the reviews from last year and bought the floor model. Sweet! Sounds great and at a fraction of the cost from the hot models out there now. Even my kids and wife commented how much better this sounded versus our previous Pioneer.

I've always enjoyed Yamaha gear. This receiver doesn't disappoint. It's so easy to setup, and when paired with my Harmony remote even my lovely wife can use it without issue! Great sound, great value!

I really like this new Yamaha receiver, it's very easy to operate. The set up was easy as it's pretty much plug & play. Power & Sound are Great!! Passover works as said. I've found no issues yet & bought it about a month ago.

Receiver is user friendly. We purchased it because we have a zone2 and our previous receiver was very complicated and would go out of sync frequently. This one is very easy and you can use your Android Phone as a remote.

This definitely has great sound quality! Compared to my last Yamaha receiver, this one produces a lot of bass and sound is clear. I like the features it has (Music Cast, USB, even links to other devices). I just got it, so I'm still learning all the features.

Got this receiver fr it;s 4K capabilities. Easy setup and the sound is great. I can now use my computer to pass on 4K content to my TV

This is the fourth Yamaha receiver I've owned (since 14 years old). All receivers delivered incredible performance for the investment. Set up of this receiver was simple, yet precise with our 5.1 surround sound speaker placements. The face buttons and remote control are easy to understand and use. The multiple sound programs are great for watching movies, concerts and for my son playing his favorite video games. Yamaha has the complete package, sound quality, ease of set-up and use and durability.

I love this receiver. I can turn it on from my phone and adjust the Pandora selection, radio station and volume all from my phone while outside at the pool or anywhere deck etc.

My experience with Yamaha had not been the best but this receiver was the only one I could find that would work with my existing speakers and seemed straightforward in its operation. Set-up was surprisingly easy as was running the "sound check" routine. But the controller and operating instructions are daunting for those of us still stuck in pre-21st century technology. But all-in-all I am extremely pleased with how the Yamaha manages sound especially the clarity.

This was a closeout product when I purchased it, so I got it for a great price. Only 5 channel out put, which is all I need currently. Can be split into 3 and 2 over 2 zones. Volumes can be controlled separately, but only the main is displaced. App integrates well when the receiver is connected. I have had some issues with having to reconnect to my network, which maybe my wifi or the receiver. I am unsure at this point. Power output is good, as is sound quality. I like the on screen menu better than my Sony receiver. Would definitely purchase again.

This receiver was a replacement for a 6 year Onkyo. The HDMI ports, network port, and Bluetooth are big improvements over my old receiver. It works great!

Very easy to set up. The sound is great. Easy to use my other components with this system.

I trusted the salesman on this purchase. I was pleasantly surprised how easy this unit was to setup and operate. The features are wonderful. Bluetooth, iPad/iPhone app to control. Ability to setup multiple rooms. All the inputs and outputs are perfect. With the white noise setup it takes all the guesswork out of setting up 5 speakers. The menu is very easy to work through. Great receiver.

Just received 2 day earlier. Sound for price range can not be beat. I’ve paired it with Polk Audio surrounds speakers. Sounds wonderful.
