I had my eye on the Yamaha receivers for years and finally pulled the trigger on this 5.1 725W system. It has a very low distortion so the sound is amazing even at higher levels. I paired it with the 5.1 600W speaker package also purchased at BBY. I figured it is a good started package for the receiver and as i save up some more money I can introduce higher quality and more powerful speakers to this system.

This a a very good value. The receiver is easy to set up and use. Great sound quality.

I bought the Yamaha initially to drive a pair of B&W speakers plus a great Yamaha sub connected to a new TV. But with the network connection delivering access to thousands of internet stations and very easy to use remote, I decided to use it in my office with the same 3 speakers to deliver amazing music instead. Love the MusicCast app. It's almost on a par with Sonos for ease of use and immediate response to selections.

Excellent sound and easy hook-up using banana plugs. Input settings could be clearer, which detracts from overall experience.

Works well and super easy to set up. Looks nice and has a large number of choises for the sound you want to hear.

Previously owned a yamaha, does not disappoint, remote control is weak but I expect this to last a long time like my last Yamaha

Receiver was easy to hook up and is an upgrade from previous one. On sale, so that was reason for purchase.

I haven't been successful connecting to our WIFI as yet but to be honest, I haven't spent much time on that. Everything else works as advertised. The only downside is that all ( most ) receivers are not made with a power plug for the subwoofer like they used to be ( what a shame ). We love the sound quality, price and features our Yamaha has to offer.

Really enjoy this system for your average home theater enthusiast. Very easy setup and calibration. Plenty of power for a medium sized room. Tons of features that I didn’t think I’d use but do! Love having a connected receiver for pandora and internet radio. Got this for $200 and worth every penny.

This receiver is great! Being old school (over 50) I wondered how new equipment would match up against what I grew up with. I have some old Bang and Olsen speakers that are dinosaurs, but are the best. This Yamaha is maybe the best receiver I have ever owned. The sound spectrum and clarity is better than I expected. I'm so very glad I bought it !

Even w/o sub, sounds great and easy to set up. I'd buy again.

My very old receiver stopped working and I went to the Best Buy site to look at reasonably priced receivers with good ratings. I am very happy with the Yamaha receiver that I purchased. Boy, the technology must have changed a lot over the years. The should from my speakers improved a bunch with the new Yamaha receiver.

Works as expected. Has Bluetooth capabilities to sync phone and other music devices for audio playback with streaming and libraries. Has plenty of ports for any system(s) you plan to hook up to it. It even has a feature which allows devices hooked up to the tv's hdmi ports to run through the speaker system as well.
