I have been using it for 2 months now and i like it. . Pros - Being able to use iphones and ipads as smart remote controls is awesome. Cons - Bluetooth is only receiver so don't plan on using with wireless headphones, not that other receivers can do that. IMO, Model RXV777BT would have been a better option because of cost. I don't think i would notice the diference in sound.

This is my favorite receiver. Have had others but this brings great sound to all my devices plugged into it. Easy controls and easy to use.

I upgraded from an older Yamaha as that one had no HDMI connections and I was getting voice delay when connecting my cable box to the TV and audio cable into the receiver. The new receiver is awesome and even has an adjustment if you do ever have any picture sound sync issues, which I haven't seen yet. My only issue is with the Cable box as it seems that I'm still not getting Digital surround even with the HDMI connected to the cable box. The action scenes seem to actually get lower in volume for some reason, like it's throttling the audio. This occurred with the older receiver as well so I think it's the DVR. Overall, it's an excellent receiver.

I bought this receiver based on the recommendation of a Geek Squad agent as he had the same unit for his house. This is a very nice well valued receiver.

I love my new Yamaha receiver, it has power, versatility, and sounds great whether it's tv, Bluetooth, CDs or dvd's. Highly recommend it

I chose this AVR at Best Buy, Fayetteville Rd, Durham, NC thanks to the expert help and advice of Daniel and Bryan, who patiently explained all my questions and concerns about modern high-quality receivers. This Yamaha AVR worked flawlessly out-of-the-box, with the ARC allowing very simple setup and functionality.

Have not explored all of the feature capabilities, but have been very satisfied with what I have utilized so far. I intend to expand its usage after moving into my new home.

I was able to get this unit as an open box and was amazed by the sound quality that it produces. I was not sure how well it would convert the digital to analog as claimed but was amazed by the sound quality that it produced. I am very happy with this addition and will bear this level of quality in mind when purchasing in the future.

This is an awesome receiver. The remote and interface seem unnecessarily complicated, but that is true for the entire Yamaha line. That's the only downside for me. IMHO, this is a fully functional mid-grade amp with the richest sound in its class. If that's important to you, this is your receiver.

I originally purchased a Pioneer Elite but it sounded "lite", also the ARC function didn't work. I returned for a Denon AVR 1100. I have had many Denon's but they have gone down hill. The 1100 quit working after 5 days...wouldn't even turn on. The ARC function didn't work on this unit either. Finally purchased this Yamaha 770 which has been great. Set up went well, sound calibration went well. The ARC function works as it should and the sound is very nice. I am not using all the capabilities this unit has to offer but I will be adding to my system to take advantage of them all. Yamaha is legit.

Great sound and a lot of options for inputs and sound variables. I purchased this as it has a turn table input and ground. Worth the price.

Needed a lot of help both with Best Buy and Yamaha Corporation finally got it to work

After having a Sony AV receiver for many years, I felt it was time for an upgrade. Looking over so many to choose from, this Yamaha seemed like a good fit for today's technology for the money. I love the 4K upscaling since I just got a 4K TV. All works great. It also runs cooler than most since I have this in an enclosed cabinet. A big plus ! Love this receiver

I HAVE TONS OF MUSIC TO GO ALONG WITH THE VIDEOS, HAD TO HAVE A GREAT SOUND MACHINE TOO.

Its worth every penny. Great sound and lots of input option for your Home Theater system.

Yamaha makes the best Home Theater receiver and systems. Highly recommended.

I loved my 750, but it failed and when I went to get a replacement I was upsold to the 850. Wow was that ever worth it. I didn't think ATMOS was that big of a deal until I heard it in my own home. All the other features are just icing on the cake.

This unit replaced a Pioneer Elite unit (which lasted only a little over a year). Much nicer and easier to configure. So far, so good!
