I purchased these along wish a simple Insignia BT receiver. I was surprised at the clarity and the bass that these delivered! The mounting brackets were easy to install and the flexibility of the design allows for directional control of the sound to create a better soundscape for my patio area. The great thing is that the sound carries perfect for my yard and doesn't cause disturbance for my neighbors! These are able to get really loud without distortion and are able to take/deliver a fair amount of bass.

While the speakers do sound good, there are some shortcomings. Low end response is somewhat lacking, but how much bass do you expect out of a 6.5" driver? Overall the sound projects well in my very large yard, but I would recommend a substantial amp to push them. The 6 ohm impedance makes them a little tricky when figuring out parrelleling multiples on outdoor volume controls but nothing too crazy. The only real work is the fact that the mount is only viable in a vertical fashion, this means that if you wanted to have the speaker mounted horizontally you lose a left right swivel capability and horizontal dispersion suffers (hence the reason for me needing 2 pairs to cover my 30' wide deck. Other than that not a bad deal.

I really liked these Yamaha NS-AW390 speakers — the build quality feels solid, they look great, and the overall sound is clear and well-balanced. For most people, they’ll be an excellent outdoor option. That said, I personally prefer a deeper low-frequency response, similar to what you get from Sonos speakers. The bass on these was a little weak for my tastes. It’s not bad by any means — just not quite as full or punchy as I was hoping for. If you’re looking for clean sound and durable outdoor speakers, these are a strong choice. If you’re someone who really loves rich, room-filling bass, you may find yourself wanting a bit more.

I installed these on the deck at our lake cabin. They have nice clear sound and plenty of volume for what i need (don't want to disturb the neighbors). They were very easy to install and look nice. I would recommend.

The sound from these speakers is adequate for my outdoor area. They look good and were easy to mount. Attached to the Insignia 2 ch receiver the volume is good, though I wouldn't say overpowering. I have them in an area that is probably 40' x 60' which is probably larger than many might have. Still, I am not disappointed. I can hear music and audio books with no problem

These are incredible, the clarity, volume and are perfect for my average size suburban backyard!

I bought these for my outside deck to hang from the ceiling of the deck and man they are loud! They are much bigger than what you think by looking at the picture. Great sound!!

Yamaha has been a trusted brand for me for many years. The speakers are on the back deck of my house and sound great. My backyard is more than an acre of land and the speakers even at one quarter volume can be clearly heard. Good rich bass and brilliant highs. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend these speakers to anyone.

These speakers were easy to install and have good rich sound. We can increase volume so loud our neighbors can enjoy them. We turn them up when in our swimming pool out in back yard, sounds great!

Have these on my back patio and the sound is fantastic. Rich bass and mid tones with crisp highs. Easy to install with adjustable brackets allowing for just the right angle.

Good solid speaker. Hard to get. Took 3 attempts to get delivered. Don't use Rodie delivery service not reliable.

Use these for our pool area. Sounds great! Fills the space clearly at any volume level. Much better than the wireless blue tooth speakers - although those haven ore specific potable purpose. Easy to hand and install as well.

These speakers deliver excellent sound in a reasonably small package. Installation on my outdoor mason wall was easy. I'm very happy with this product.

I just mounted them outside by my pool area. After a couple of tests, they performed very well. I especially like that they are outdoor/weatherproof speakers.
