This game is very fun. The fighting system is a little weird at first, but the more you play the more fun it becomes. The game has multiple quests and challenges so you won't get bored. It also reminds kids of good life lessons like being home by cufew and crossing a street safely through the game play. I'm sure it'd be a great game for kids, but I even love it and I'm in my 20s.

I read how huge this game has become in Japan I can see why now! This game looks like it's kids only but trust me it's for everyone. My daughters love this game. I do to and I been a gamer all my life. I'm even a huge fan of the show now! Don't miss out try to watch them in order if you can . Great show for family's or anyone has lots of comedy in it!!

Basically, if you want Pokemon with the charm and not much grinding, get this.

Yo-Kai watch is simply the new pokemon. You capture animals, train them, and then fight with them. While Pokemon games have stayed the same, this will breathe some fresh air into the genre. By the way, the Yo-Kai watch movie in Japan sold more tickets than the Force Awakens. Think about that one.

This is a fun game. My son enjoys this but not his favorite.

This game was great! It's got great humor, and an interesting storyline. Not to mention it's really colorful, and the characters are cute and memorable. The battle mechanics are unique, but not too hard to get used to.

I picked up this game as I had heard a lot of positive reviews on it and was looking for something new to play casually. It starts out fairly slow, but once it gets rolling it doesn't stop. Incredibly more fun to play if you have friends who pick it up around the same time.

Ok this game has butt spirits you can use in combat. That would be enough to sell me on a game itself. The rest of the game aint bad either. The spirit designs are very creative and combat is addictive. It held my attention much more than pokemon has been able to, not to say that pokemon is bad in any way. Butt spirits go!

Fun to play. Good story. The YoKai are super cute!

I bought this game the day it came out. I'd heard good things about it and saw it in Japan on a vacation there. I was surprised and happy to see it come out in NA so I had to have it! Level 5 makes good games. Very pretty, unique combat, fun and easy to play.

If searching for Pokemon is too much of a time investment for you, Yo-Kai Watch is a better bet for you. Light hearted, fun battles, and making monster friendships. Updates sent through Nintendo add extra bonus searches and prizes. Pretty fun game overall.

Great game. Obviously the next step in the direction of monster finding/collecting. Powerful art style however keeps it it's own. Very reminiscent of Level 5s other works. Beautiful.

Got it one the first week , hard to find in the stores but Bestbuy had it available which it was perfect. Kids has lot of challenge and game keep them entertained for long time. Lot of fun, nice game for kids.

My 7 year old son asked for this game for Christmas for his DS. His friends at school told him about it. He was thrilled to receive it and he has told me multiple times how much he loves this game :)

this is a awesome game my kids enjoys very much, my kids just started watching the cartoon series and they said the story as some similarities from the show. they say the game play is like pokemon.

This game is practically just like Pokemon, but instead of catching Pokemon you befriend Yokai(Ghost). The Yokai in this game isn't as cute as Pokemon, but some do capture its charm. If you see a problem brewing around, there is a Yokai for which is causing that action. Battles are based on real-time fights, so you won't get to choose what move for the Yokai to attack with. This is the only con in the game. Instead, you play this mini-games on the touch screen for the Yokai's special move which sometimes could be fun. There's little strategy in battles, how to position your Yokai on your watch, when to "Pin" to lock on either opponent, and the best time to use the Yokai's special ability. Great for kids, and a good game to play while waiting for another Pokemon game.

This was for my daughter, she loves it, says its almost as good as pokemon, and i think she will play it for a while...at least until the new pokemon game is released...great buy!!!

I love this game. It is similar to pokemon games and can be categorized in the same concept/ You meet YoKai in the world and only you can see them . You can befriend them or not.

Level 5 makes this game and they've earned my respect over the years with their great games. This one is no different. Lots of exploration and characters to collect. Great graphics and many hours of fun to be had.
