I bought this because grandson was visiting for a week and he had his Nintendo switch. I thought it’d be easier for grandma, me, to have it up on tv screen. Such a wonderful device! Super easy to set up and basically plug and play. Very convenient. We had purchased a splitter from Best Buy last year so it was very convenient to use for this product. Good price and very versatile.

    Second TV Made possible

Was lucky enough to obtain a Nintendo Switch in March 2020. I ended up purchasing this Cable to allow my son to use his switch on his TV and leave the docking stating that came with the unit in our living room for Family time. PROS: cable is long enough to reach most areas, given you will need to connect it to a Power source and TV. Cons: It does not come with a USB-C power connection. Compared to similar products, this one is on the less expensive side. Work around: USB-C cables are generally inexpensive, I acquired one for less than $8. I used an old cellphone USB power supply to connect the USB-C to the Yok and it works great. Highly recommend this product.

Good alternative to a second dock

I bought these because I've been wanting a second dock for my Switch but I didn't want to pay $80 for the official one, which would be too big for my everyday backpack. I also understand that using 3rd party docks carry a risk but from what I've learned, it's mostly from using a different power supply than the official charger for the console. I already had a second official charger that I carry with my Switch everywhere so all I needed was a dock. I went for Yok because the cable seemed way more portable than any other dock and I wouldn't have to carry an extra HDMI cord either. I've been using this for months now and it works great! I make sure to keep my Switch with the screen facing down so that the vents aren't blocked and I can play for hours no problem. The lack of USB ports may pose an issue to people but since I use a wireless controller, it doesn't bother me. Bonus: this cable works with my Samsung Phone and my Samsung Tablet as well. You can use it without a charging cable plugged in but I recommend you do anyways because it'll drain your battery fast.

    Good portable dock

Fairly good alternative to the Nintendo Switch Dock. This portable dock is an acceptable alternative for those looking for a portable docking solution at a good price. You may need to connect the cables in a certain sequence for it to properly work, but once you’ve got it down the first couple times it’s easy to remember how to get it to work.

I picked up this cable for a project that ended up a success. The idea was to use the switch portable on a USBC portable monitor and powered off a usba battery pack using Official Nintendo USB cables. So I used this Yok portable cable with 2 Nintendo Usba to c cables, portable usbc monitor and a Large powerpack with 2 USB a ports. Wired everything up to the pack and screen and the yok cable worked like a charm. The idea was to keep the official Nintendo cables because they have the resistor in them to prevent any charging/power issues. Make sure you 100% use official Nintendo cables for anything power related on the switch. Nintendo recommends usbA power banks over the C banks because of the protocols for safety. Yes there are USBc banks but with risk. Hope this helps someone if they were looking to try this themselves.

Does the trick, supports surround sound

The dock does what it says on the tin, is pretty portable and also supports surround sound(which is more than I can say for some third party docks). However, it doesn't seem to support HDMI CEC and as far as I can tell, there's no way to get extra USB ports by putting a hub inline (not that I would expect that to work of course) Overall a pretty decent product given the price.

Love this cable. I leave it on my main TV so that I can simply plug in my Switch when I want to play on a TV. I keep the dock in my office to charge. Definitely a great option when you need a quick way to hook up your system.

This is an excellent substitute for the switch dock. Works great, perfect for travel or just having handy in my backpack. The cable is pretty long too which is nice. Some side notes I found through use of it. It does recommend you only use the Nintendo brand AC adapter. Also it doesn't show the game on the TV at the same time as your switch. I highly recommend this to anyone with a switch.

It’s great to have another option. Using a cable instead of a dock makes it much more portable... I left this at a friend’s house so I didn’t need to bring my dock to play on their tv. Good price and nice to have.

Was going to purchase the Insignia Dock, but noticed the price was raised on it. Saw this on the shelf, and decided to give it a shot. Far more portable than any dock, and does the job. Back of the box recommends using either Yōk's power adapter, or Nintendo's official power adapter. I opted for the official Nintendo adapter, just because of how finicky the Switch is with power cords. My only complaint is that I wish the USB-C connector that goes to the switch was longer.

I was excited to finally have an alternative to the official Nintendo switch dock. But after some use, I realized the integrated hdmi cord was very inconvenient. A lot of times I would carry my switch to a friends house. And their TVs are mounted on a wall with the hdmi port very inaccessible. Their tv would usually have a device that had an hdmi cord. My friends would say just take the hdmi cord off the PS4 and plug in the Switch Dock. But the YOK switch dock has the hdmi cord integrated into the set up. So that has been a common inconvenience. Also, I understand that this is supposed to be a slimmer alternative to the standard dock, but the length of the cord makes it still space consuming in a bag so it’s not quite as slim as I’d like it to be. I also wish there was at least one USB port on this.

This makes it so much easier to play on a big screen. I haven't encountered any problems while using this alongside the official charger. Only downside is that I can use an HDMI cable that's already plugged into a TV.

The biggest complaint i see form people is that it doesnt come with an ac adapter. It states it does not on the box. Also the Switch system was picky as Nintendo did not use the standard USB protocol which locked up some systems. I use my ac adapter that came with and its still way easier to tote that and a small cable around instead of the whole dock. This is great for trips and I even use it at home so I can take the system from one tv to the next.

This dock is very convenient and easy to use. You will need to use your existing Nintendo Switch power supply as one is not included. Early in the Nintendo Switch's life there were other docks that could damage your Switch that were found to do so because the power supply provided too much voltage that it would damage the Switch. So with this dock using the original Nintendo power supply this won't be an issue.

Works as it should, just note that you need power for it to work. If you do not connect the other end to a power source it will not work at all. Other than that it works as it should.
